Hello

So as of today, it's been 14 months since I applied for Removal of conditions, 2 months ago I got a second Biometrics letter and redid my fingerprints, nothing since then,

I called to customer service today, the first lady transferred me to a higher up, who wrote a service request that says " This case has been pending for 14 months, please approve and issue Green card ASAP" That's what she said she wrote word to word.

Well does this customer service higher up have any weight to be sending orders like that?

What is wrong with my case? I didn't receive RFEs or any other requests, could it be the FBI name check, my I-485 was delayed as well!

I do have an Arabic name,

Have you try calling the Senator and Congresswoman office? They usually have an immigration specialist/worker for immigration related issues. If you can find out the name of that person, then perhaps you may also be able to arrange a in person face to face meeting. Sorry I just don't quite trust the over the phone conversation. Have you also try infopass appointment? I know it's kind of useless even if Senator or Congressman can't help much. Well... I guess Ombudsmand is the last bet. Hang in there, if the senator/congressman office really did send an inquiry on your behalf, you should be hearing something back soon! Btw, have you sign the confidential release form for the Senator/Congressman? That might be the hold up. Good Luck!

Well... I don't think it's the first time that the OP has to go through FBI name check, how come there is no hold up on the first time? I think the hold up is just at VSC, not the name check part, but that's just what I think, might not be the real case.

Holy crow that's a long wait! My guess for the delay is because of those pesky background checks.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Sorry about the delay. I would make an appointment at you senator/congresswomans office if you can. When I was dealing with the liason at our congresswomans office she let it slip (i think) that they have a direct # to VSC. After she called we got an RFE within the week and an approval about 10 days later. I hope if anything that this may help. If not you could always drive to VT ;)

I-751 Removal of Conditions

01/10/08 - Application sent to VSC

01/22/08 - Application Received

02/02/08 - Biometrics done

01/29/09 - I-551 stamped in passport at Tampa ofc

04/25/09 - RFE received

04/27/09 - RFE Sent back to VSC with additional documentation

05/11/09 - Approval notice received

05/18/09 - GreenCard arrived!!!
