Thanks everyone and I mean it when I say, Thank you to everyone. I have learned a lot by reading your preceiptosts and Hot Guy... you are so helpful and willing to go an extra mile to help someone.

He also said, the CO wanted to give him the Visa early on, but the Egyptian girl didn't want her to. She kept asking questions the CO didn't and wouldn't accept his answers. But, he said I kept repeating over and over the same thing. It's the truth, it's all I know and all I could say.

I told him, i'm sure the Egptian girl didn't like him marrying an American, that's the reason she was rude. I'm just glad all went well and I wish each and everyone one of you the best of luck.

Thank you so much for your kind words . i really appreciate it .

Well i remember when i went to the interview .i said good morning to the Egyptian woman and she ignored me and she said ok give me your medical exam result andthe visa fee receipt i was like  I'm not a DV visa I'm K! visa i said then she she goes like  ok give me your originals the birth certificate ..........and she asked me did you get maried yet ?!! i said NOOOOOOO!!!

If you think good about that question in fact she wanted me to say yes we are married .what about if i said yes ?!!!! she would metion that to the CO and maybe they would deny me and ask me to fill for k3 .......cause we are married .

They are that mean i know they should help us cause we are Egyptian like them but they try to make the CO deny us instead .

Good luck and i hope you will hear the good news soon

I want to thank everyone who has given me advice and those that have shared how their interview exp. went in Cairo. Mohammed had his interview today and he waited about 6 hours, but it was worth the wait.. He is approved!!

Here are the questions the lady with blond hair asked him. Also, he said, she did call in an Egyptian girl to translate, but he answered her in English not Arabic. He said, the Egyptian girl was rude and didn't like his answers and had an attitude. Interview took about 25 minutes.

1. Who was ________? It was my dads name.

2. How did I pay for the tickets for the 4 trips.

3. Asked about our pictures and emails.

4. She asked if his family had met me.

5. How his family felt about us marrying.

6. What did we have in common.

7. What was my hobbies.

8. Did we have an Engagment party and why not.

9. Dates of my trips to Egypt.

10. How many kids did I have.

11. My birthdate.

12. If he was gonna marry me within 90 days after arriving in U.S. Then give him a lecture of what would happen if he married me just for a Visa.

After this, he said, she give him a white paper and told him he was in Administrative Process. She checked off next to AP and passport. She said it would be about 2 months for the checks and then they'd call him to mail his passport to them. He said it went smooth and the CO was nice, but it was the Egyptian girl he didn't like.

May I ask....what exactly is Administative Process and why does it take so long?

Administrative Review and/or Administrative Processing

After Your Visa Interview

Administrative Review: Is when your case is being looked at more closely for accuracy and to make sure all security name and fingerprint checks have cleared and your visa can be adjudicated.

Administrative Processing: Means once you have interviewed it is in security checks for any of these situations: you have had a name hit in one of the many data bases, background checks for fraud, or has missing and incomplete information that must be submitted and the rechecked. Processing is more in depth and than the review process and there is no time limit for this processing to complete. Administrative processing can last a few days or months and in some cases it has endured for years.

Administrative Processing Frequently Asked Questions:-

• When does Administrative Processing Happen? AP can happen at any time during your processing. It can happen at a service center, at the NVC level, or at the embassy level. It mainly is discussed here in the forums at the embassy level.

• Who can get Administrative Processing and Why? AP usually affects men and women from certain countries but anyone can get AP. Persons coming from T countries (Terrorist Countries) seem to have more security checks and have to endure AP at the embassy level after their interview. Common names, your nationality, religion, education, relationship of applicant, travels and job can all be factors for AP. Having incomplete or missing documents will also cause a case to be put in AP. In some cases if the embassy does not believe in the validity of the relationship they can investigate it further with a field investigation.

• What are the T-Countries? Although it is classified, the list of countries reportedly affected by these restrictions includes, but is not limited to, Afghanistan,

Algeria, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Djibouti, Egypt,

Eritrea, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya,

Malaysia, Morocco, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Somalia,

Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates,

and Yemen.

• DOS information: DOS can be contacted Monday through Friday during business hours. You must have all information concerning your case with you so that they can assist you.

Department of State’s visa Information phone number: 202-663-1225

• Can I expedite this process? The simple answer is NO. No one can expedite the checks since they are considered a matter of National security. An elected official can only make a congressional inquiry on your behalf. They cannot get the checks finished any fast

Anyway they put everyone under Administrative process lately at USA embassy in Cairo and i don't know why ?!!!!!

To be frank not all Egyptians working at the embassy are rude , I have dealt with US embassy twice ,

I went with my wife to get the no objection statement , they were very nice to us and we were out in 10 minutes ,

at the interview , when i was called to the window first , the lady was smiling to us ( me and my wife ) and she was joking saying , ohh , you didn't wake up yet , she was very nice and professional , I assume they have this behavior because they have seen many young guys getting married to their grandmas for the visa.

what do you think if you are Egyptian working at the US embassy with Americans ,

and everyday Americans make jokes and statements about those guys getting married for visas ,

would you be very helpful ? you will be ashamed of being Egyptian ,

I'm not justifying , my visa is delayed for a reason ofcourse , i have many stamps in my passport , Syria,Jordan , UK AND AND . but we can never say all of them are rude , some of them are

I'm not talking about anybody , I mean Egyptians working at the embassy they see such guys everyday ,

so they treat most people bad even if they are not visa hunters . by the way most embassies are .

I have dealt with the British embassy and it is even worse .

Congratulations on your fiance's approval :)(F) It is sad that Egyptians employees in the embassy are rude... I have read the replies on this topic and it makes me wonder, being a female and the beneficiary, if it bothers them that Egyptian men marry American ladies how bothering it is to them if it is the other way around? lol... I know it was a joke, but I am already starting to worry... The process is hard and long already....

I wouldn't worry about anything and with what others think. :star: I personally think it's none of the Egyptian ladies, that work in the Embassie's business, the ages or nationality of the Fiancees. They should look at the evidence presented, to determine the Bonafide's of the relationship.

It seemed this Egyptian girl didn't want to accept, that I knew a computer well enough to play an online game to have met him. That's bull.. I have played WoW for 3 years and I play my characters as well as many of the males. She kept questioning him about me playing and knowing a computer that well. That doesn't even make sense, since we all know she herself must know a computer to have her job.. or I hope she does.

Also, i'm not bashing any female Arab or w/e.. I'm only repeating his exp. at HIS interview. So, I don't see why anyone would get upset over that.

Also I think its different if you go to the embassy by your self or with the US citizen .

Cause they might be rude to you but they can not be rude to the US citizen thats for sure .

My friend went to the embassy and they were questioning her and they brought the egyptian lady in with the hijjab on to talk about Islam and how it is bad on American Christian women married to a Muslim man. There are motives behind actions.

I'm hoping for those that are waiting that your visa's come soon.

I get what you mean... :) People working at places like embassies should be completely neutral and do their job with no discrimination of any kind... Hopefully our process and everyone's process won't be tough and all of us have smooth NICE interviews... ;)

Of course it is their business. It is their freaking job to do a little bit of personal interpretation regarding the validity of petitioners' relationships. Why do you think the USEM employs them - for their health??? Ummmm no. They employ them because there might be something an Egyptian citizen might ascertain from an interviewee over what a CO might understand.

i guess some people think it's supposed to be a social visit, with tea and biscuits. God forbid there should be some scrutiny applied to the thing. unlu_kitap_karakterler2_pollyanna_01.jpg

Yes, it was so freaking weird. Maybe she was Christian and covered her hair? That was the only thing that I could think of. I can't imagine speaking so harshly about your religion. Needless to say they had her in tears she was so aggravated. They were drilling her on what she knew about Islam. It's a very long long story but it was quite sad on their thought process at the time.

I agree they are there to determine what maybe the American CO's can't or to help them. They are familiar with the culture more. I am not saying that is what happened in this situation. She very well could have been a little hateful just because that is the way she is.

So off topic but chemaatah...your little one is growing so fast!! She is sooooooooo precious and such a little beauty.
