-Hello, we have been approved for both the I130 and I129, we have decided to do the CR1 instead of the K3, should I follow the process for both the CR1 and K3, and when we are granted an interview advise them at that time that we wish to proceed with the CR1.

Please advise on how I should handle this.

K3 - NOA2 recv, and application sent to embassy

NVC recvd application and assigned a case number.

You just need to simply ignore any correspondences regarding your K-3 and pursue the CR-1 correspondences and that is all. The K-3 will die a slow death.

Good luck.

Hello-

It's funny I ran across your post and you are Jamaica bound also. We are in the same position and I, as well, need some advise. My husband has an actual interview date for his K3 on May 20th and an interview for his IR 1 on June 20th. Of course, we also want to pursue the IR 1. Not sure what to do. I have contacted the embassy via email since they don't discuss over the phone, however, I haven't gotten any reply other than the normal confirmation that my email was received. So, if I find out something I will let you know. This is very frustrating. Good luck.

We also have to go through a waiver process, from my understanding it's not done there in Jamaica. Any one have any idea how long that process is?..................... One Love

Consulars do the waiver process. The time processing it depends on the consulate.

Good luck

Try calling NVC and ask them to forward your case to Kingston, if it is completed, so you can do the May 20th for a CR!.
