I-864 instructions is confusing

I will file this month too! I have everything, I am filing my husband's AOS paperwork, he doesn't speak english, I need your help!!!!!.

I am stuck at the I-864, question 23, First they say that they count the individual earned annual income, what I put there the amount from the 1040 my wages tips, salaries etc.? or do I put the total income from line 22 of the form 1040 which is way less because I bought a Condo and in my 1040 it is listed as Loses, so on the instructions on the I864 on page 8 they say"For purposes of this affidavit, the line for gross (total) income on IRS Forms 1040 and 1040A will be considered when determining income. For persons filing IRS Form 1040 EZ, the line for adjusted gross income will be considered.

So what do I enter in question 23 what I make gross from my job (and will attach letter of emplyment) only or what is in the form 1040????

You would enter what u will make this current year.It might be different if u get a pay raise in year start.So go by what ur employment letter will say as ur annualized income.......

on question25 you would write adjusted gross from 1040...
