We are using Vonage. We ordered two Vonage boxes and we sent the second box in PI. It saves us ALOT of long distance phone bills using Vonage. We only pay $31.00 (per device) a month for unlimited call in PI. They won't charge the PI number as you as the subscriber here in the US will pay for the monthly bill and we never encountered any major prob with their service.

Hi did anybody from visajourney used VONNAGE INTERNET PHONE? How are the rates to P.I? Is it reliable connection? thanks for the coming replies....

God Bless to all

My Rhea has an aunt who uses Vonage, Quite reliable. It requires a high speed internet connection and If I am correct, it does not require that your computer is running.

Monthly Cost- $29 plus tax and fees

We have Magic jack for our communication, it requires somewhat fast connection to the internet, requires a computer that is running windows Xtra Problems or Asta la Vista It is a very moody device, it works if it wants to and has the ability to work partially meaning that you can make a call but not hear the other party.

Cost- $39 to purchase the device, one year free use, $59 to purchase 5 additional years use.

Working on AOS

Hello, we are using Vonage Internet Phone here in our home(MI) and even you`re not online in the internet you can use your phone anytime. I am always calling my family in the philippines 2x a week, it`s 18cents a minute to call in the Philippines. There are few instances that it`s hard to connet if maybe there is bad weather in the Philippines but its rare, so it`s okay. Locally within United States its unlimited call and its clear signal here. With that plan I can talk unlimitedly with my friends here in U.S. anytime. Hope it helps.. Have a great day and God bless!

What we did so that my mom can stay in contact with our family in the Philippines is that we ordered the phone adapter from vonage and got a US number. We sent that to the Philippines and now we can call them anytime we want. It is just like local calls. And they can call us too. As long as you have connection to high speed internet, everthing will be good. I've heard of magic jack too but we already were under vonage. Magic jack is soooooo much cheaper than vonage. :)
