When you file the AR-11 online, the system generates a PDF version of the form that includes a confirmation number that USCIS received it. It tells you tp print a copy for your records. Also, since you are your wife's sponsor for the Affidavit of Support, you should have filed form I-865 each timeyou moved (in addition to the AR-11). USCIS sends receipt notices for the I-865.

We've moved twice and we have printed copies of the online AR-11s with confirmation numbers on them and the I-865 receipt notices.

Without any documentation to prove you changed your address, it's your word against theirs and you'll probably have to pay for the new card.

Wow, really? I've done 3 AR-11s now and never saw any kind of confirmation page. Even the infopass officer said nothing of it when I mentioned there weren't any confirmations of AR-11s. I'll take your word for it though and just assume there's been a computer error each time I've completed an AR-11. The first time I did an AR-11, however, during our first move, there was no problem. The address was changed immediately and I began receiving USCIS mail right away at my new address. But, still, there never was any kind of confirmation that I had filled out the AR-11.

Never heard of the I-865. Nobody at the USCIS has ever told me about that. But I guess now I know for the next time.
