Hi all!!

Just wondering if there are specific doctors my fiance, the beneficiary (UK) has to go to?? I thought I read somewhere that it had to be someone who was approved. Can anyone shed some light on this?

Also, what should he start getting together now (I am in the process of preparing everything for the I-129)?

police cert, birth cert, passport copies, proof of relationship, anything else??

Also, how much does it cost him on his end when he has the interview?

Thank you so much for your help, guidance, and support through this crazy, emotional time!!!

Hw will have to go to the Knightsbridge Doctors in London. They are the only doctors in the UK who can carry out US visa medicals. The fee for the medical is £180. Once your petition is approved, you can get the case number from the Department of State, and then he can organise his medical.

If you're just preparing the I-129 now, he'll have 3 or 4 months before he needs to worry about collecting everything he needs, though there's no harm in being prepared I guess. This page outlines the documents he will need to bring with him. The fee he'll have to pay at the interview is $131, which is about £90. He will also have to pay £14 to have his passport returned to him with his visa in it.

Good luck!

You're welcome. :)

I meant to say once it's approved, you can get his case number from the National Visa Centre (NVC), not the Department of State, but I won't let me edit it now. Oh well!
