I disagree with you.

If he doesn't withdraw his support, she will have legal status in the US. Basically, she would have married for immigration. She wanted out of her life in the Philippines and married an American, then she left him once she got here.

Its ok to leave him, but she needs to return to her home country, If she doesn't return, then she is showing that being in the US was her main concern, in which case she has basically #######'d her way into this country.

Sorry that sounds harsh, but I am tired of all the third world women just trying to come to the US for a better life. People like the women this post is about is why the K visa process has gotten so scrutinized, forcing us all to wait longer.

Nobody is saying they should not try and make a better lives for themselves and their kids. But rolling some unsuspecting person who is looking for love and using him as a ticket is not the right way. Not according to the law. Not according to anybody's moral standards. These people ARE the reason why the process is so complex for the rest of us.

IMO the problem is when members make categorical declarations such as "women from third world countries". As if to tag a particular category of people from certain areas of the globe as fraudsters.

Really just nonsensical commentary, I think, within a community of people from all over the globe.

Everyone should have the opportunity to make a better life for themselves, but not if it's by using someone else just for their own benefit. From the info we have, that's what appears to be happening in allenr's case.

Uh, I really mean no offense, but that was what my first response was about. This isn't a live chat, it's a message board, and unless the modmins delete it pro-actively for whatever reason, the thread will stay up and people will still be able to read everything, weeks, months, maybe years from now.
