it seemed so simple when I sent everything off cause I thought I would probably have my GC in hand before we left, because we are planning to have a wedding ceremony in England in July. Of course, with hindsight it probably wasn't the greatest idea to plan it so soon but my husband wanted to have it done as soon as possible. Still nothing this end :\

Exactly what I am thinking. If I had known that I would have to wait this long and that too for a mailman to drop off some letters from CRIS, I would have preferred applying from my home country and taken care of things back home. But then, this is a process that we all have to go through, regardless. Nothing at my end to report either. I called USCIS yesterday to inquire if there was any update, but as expected the reply was in the negative. :crying:

Hope you get your interview date soon saspak

saspak - did you ever call FBI to make sure that your fingerprints were cleared and results were sent to USCIS?

During my inquiry related to the I-485, twice the second Officer at USCIS affirmed that they have my fingerprints on file and everything seems to be alright. I just need to sit tight and wait for my turn. Do you think the FBI has cleared it or do I inquire from them seperately. I am still not sure why my interview letter hasn't arrived. Thats the last piece of the puzzle.

hmmm.... I guess if USCIS officer told you that they have your fingerprints then they must have it. I called FBI directly and got the confirmation from them.

I am not sure what is the hold-up in your case. New York cases are currently being adjudicated in 4-5 month timeframe. Furthermore, I do not see that you ever received an RFE so smooth application processing from that perspective. The fact that you have received your EAD tells me that they also received an answer from local consulate/embassy that issued you the visa to enter - that is if they sought one and reached out to the consulate.

I hope you get your letter soon and I am sure you will !!!

Thank you so much for the informative reply i-migrate. You are right. I haven't received any RFE's so far. USCIS timelines state that NY offices are currently processing I-485 cases for May 28th 2008. But on VJ i see that Feb-Mar-April AOS applicants have received interview letters. The frustration is there, but there isn't much that I can do. Pray for me.

Regards & Best Wishes.

OK...After months, my I-130 was touched today. No other update since the application states pending. But atleast there is some progress. No news on I-485 since its not online yet. Hope CSC takes some action, as my I-130 is about th hit the 6 month mark.

Today, to my delight, I had a letter from USCIS waiting for me in the mailbox. The Blue logo put a smile on my face as I knew that it meant only one thing. The long awaited interview letter. And there it was. Got a date for July 21st, 2009. Wish to thank all the friends who supported me and shared their views and experiences with me. VJ surely was a GREAT help. Best of Luck to all, including me!

I replied to a RFE related to my I-130. The letter was received on 06-08-2009 by CSC. Since then I have not had an online touch or receive any mail from CRIS regarding the resumption of my case. Is there any way I can have it checked whether CSC received the documents?

To all my friends that somewhat started the journey pretty much at the same time as me, and most of them, I see, have moved on with their lives after having gone through the various stages of VISA JOURNEY, I am about to encounter the final showdown in 5 days. Lets See whats in Store for me. with AOS interview round the corner, my I-485 has been touched on 07-14-2009. I wonder what they are upto now.

The Ones that sailed through, I wish them all the best, and the ones that are rocking the boat, I wish them luck.
