Hi All! Those Jan'09 AOS applicants, waiting for interview letters like me, please join my Topic. Have your timelines updated for us to share. Shouldn't we be a bit concerned, since alot of Feb&March AOS applicants have received their interviews for May/June. CRIS timelines are of no use. :crying:

I too am waiting :crying: hoping things get moving again soon

Welcome to the club :star: The New year should have brought you some respite. Are you adjusting from a K visa? Mine was a B-2. Till the EAD, things were pretty smooth. All of a sudden the mustang turned into a dragging donkey!!!!

no, I was an F-1 visa...

Have you been to an infopass appointment to ask them about the status of your application? I did and all I got was a blank stare and 'still pending' from the Immigration Officer.

Interview passed 6/30/09

Filed for ROC 6/21/11

That is exactly the stare that scares me :star: I haven't utilized the infopass service till yet. Am sure they can't/won't help us unless we are way. out of the timeline which they have very deliberately kept lengthier to their own advantage and convenience. Online status is so pathetic that even after receiving my EAD and AP a month ago, it still shows pending. No sign of the I-485 till now. I had submitted my I-130 seperately and earlier in the december 2008. Am almost close to the 6 month period on that one. But am not sure if they will process it to keep up their CSC timeline and might interview me for both the I-130/I-485. Whenever that is!!!!!!!!!!

Hi bellavita. I am not going through a lawyer. I doubt that at this stage a lawyer can do much to expedite the case. Howz your situation?

I was thinking at least you will feel much better with help from a proffesional and good lwayer, however,a bad lawyer makes things much more complicated, it depends. Most immigration lawer have a free consultation at the first time, maybe you can talk with some of them to find more sense.

As I know,USCIS changed again on the FBI background check method after Feb 2009,you can also make a research on this and see if it's matter to you.

We also received our EAD's within days of each other, perhaps this is a sign that when one of us gets their interview letter the others will be days away? I hope so :)

Ha Ha..That means we should monitor each others timelines closely. You are right. If you get it anytime sooner, I should expect an interview letter too. But I highly doubt it. For obvious reasons, my background checks will surely keep me lagging behind:). Btw, You got a RFE? MaY I ask what was it related to. So far I haven't been bothered with any RFE's. Touchwood!!!

Oh! I also forgot to say that your AP was granted on 04-07 which is when mine (supposedly) was accepted as well. When I went to the infopass I asked them about it and she said it was accepted on 04-07, so it should really be here by now.

We got the RFE for not including enough evidence with the affidavit of support document, so we send back 6months worth of payslips and another copy of his contract. I don't know when the case was resumed, all the IO told me at the infopass was that it's still pending :\

There you go. another matching date. :star: I guess mostly the RFE's are related to medical or I-864's. I am sure you'll receive the AP soon. I have been advised by many, to avoid using it though. Since AP doesn't Guarantee re-entry. Thats scary. Honestly, I would avoid the immigration questioning upon re-entry until I have the Residency Card at hand:) Do stay in touch and lets keep each other updated. I hope we get the damned interview letters! Tired of running to the mailman everyday:)

it seemed so simple when I sent everything off cause I thought I would probably have my GC in hand before we left, because we are planning to have a wedding ceremony in England in July. Of course, with hindsight it probably wasn't the greatest idea to plan it so soon but my husband wanted to have it done as soon as possible. Still nothing this end :\

Exactly what I am thinking. If I had known that I would have to wait this long and that too for a mailman to drop off some letters from CRIS, I would have preferred applying from my home country and taken care of things back home. But then, this is a process that we all have to go through, regardless. Nothing at my end to report either. I called USCIS yesterday to inquire if there was any update, but as expected the reply was in the negative. :crying:
