Why is it required that a society accept gay marriage? Rights don't just belong to gays, re this issue. A society also as a right to set the boundaries for its rituals and norms. Gay marriage advocates need to get over trying to have gays be the same as hetrosexuals. They're not, so they're unions need to reflect their uniqueness, not the characteristics of opposite sex unions.
