As you can see on Igor's list, there is a gap around January 14, and another one around January 22. My guess is that people who file around the same date end up in one box, and that these two boxes each are on an adjudicator's desk who is a bit behind in his or her work, maybe working on other stuff, who knows. I won't get worried until the other January 14 filers get approved and we aren't. As long as most others with the same NOA1 date aren't approved, I will assume we just have to wait for our box to be processed... Just a theory, though.

My NOA1 date was Jan 23 and on Igor's list there was only 1 other person with same date. Last week they received their NOA2, so of course I thought maybe they were working on 'our box' but still I have nothing yet. My hopes went up and now they are going down again, this is really frustrating. I talked to the person who was approved with same NOA1 date and she said they did not get any email or update on USCIS website, the letter just showed up this week with a date from the week before. I also noticed a NOA1 date of May 1 getting NOA2 already. How does that happen?! I am still trying to be patient and just keeping checking my mailbox everyday but I wish there was some way to really know what's going on there.

The May 1 person was a military expedite.

Ahh, ok, understandable. Thanks!

I just called my Congressman's office and they are going to look into what's going on with my case with VSC and call me back. Hopefully they will be able to shed some light and I also asked for them to please mention that the USCIS website is not being updated or sending any email notifications lately. I will update with anything I find out.

I mentioned to them how many people are seeing people before and after them and even some with same dates (like my case), being approved and that is seems some are being passed by. That the USCIS website is not being updated or sending emails and that we depend on this to know what is happening with our cases. That no one wants their case to be lost or skipped and many people are concerned. The gentleman I spoke with was very nice and said that their Senior Case officer from their district office will look into this and call me back within a week. So we will see what I can find out. I told him that of course I am concerned for my own case but for others as well.

In the meantime I hope to see people being approved and things moving along as they should. Good luck to all.

I was wondering if the "moving around" of the fiancee could slow the process down. Is your fiancee from UK? I am a bulgarian but i live in Spain, so I will have to go to the USA embassy in Spain. And before that I was living in Germany for 7 years... could this make me look suspicious for uscis? We have similar timelines to your and there is no answer so far

The K1 precess took us 9 long months.

I don't know how much more "suspicious" you will look ... I think initially every single application is looked at suspiciously to be honest ... that is their job ... I do think maybe your petition may take a little longer however ... more "checks" to be performed in multiple countries ... just a guess on my part though ... good luck and wish you a smooth speedy process.
