This RFE is asking for a medical examination. If you had your medical done more than a year ago, then you will need a new medical done by an approved civil surgeon. If you had it done less than a year ago, then you need to call the USCIS and tell them that.

CIS might have lost the report from the previous medical exam ... it has happened before.

However, if this is the case here, then I do not understand why the letter refers to "the Form I-693", in relation to the TB skin test.

And what visa are you/your-spouse adjusting status from?

  1. If not a spousal/fiancé visa - did you attend a medical?
  2. If for a spousal/fiancé visa - when/how-long-ago was the medical?

K-1 FIANCE VISA.

I UNDERSTAND THAT THEY NEED MY I-693 BECAUSE I ONLY SUBMIT THE VACCINATION REPORT FROM SAINT LUKES

AND THATS THE REASON WHY I HAVE AN RFE, BUT WHAT MAKES ME BOTHERED A LOT IS THAT THEY

INDICATE THIS TO USCIS RFE LETTER.

You'll need to find a USCIS Civil Surgeon near your place who can transcribe the DS3025 to the Form I-693.. they will then perform the TB skin test in their office, and the doctor or nurse will read the result after 2 days and then they'll sign the papers ie I-693 and seal it in an envelope (which you will not open, btw) then you can mail it along with your RFE notice, I think? (someone please confirm this for me!)

From my experience as well, the Civil Surgeon performed a new HIV/Syphilis test for me in his office as well even if I've previously done it a month or two ago... He said it's policy.. Each Civil Surgeon varies but if they tell you that you need to re-do everything over again.. you have to tell them that the TB skin test and the transcription of the vaccination record is all that matters assuming you've had your medical within this year.

Hope that helps!

I think there is no problem with the vaccinations because they say they've got that. They don't have the record of your medical from St. Lukes. They seem to lose those records quite often. The rest is telling you that a skin test for TB is part of the new requirements and if that is positive then a chest x-ray. That's standard for the current medical exam. If they had not lost your records, your chest x-ray info would have confirmed whether you had TB or not as well as your other medical test results. From reading your RFE, I think you will have to do the complete medical exam over because they don't have the St Lukes one in your file. You could call and ask them to find your A-file which was in the brown envelope your turned in at POE and should have been forwarded to meet up with your AOS application.
