No you are more 'troller'. You just got upset that I called you on it.

"Patriotism doesn't win wars unfortunately. That has rather more to do with economy and industrial infrastructure - and on that score the German war machine was significantly stronger."

Yes, thank you for re-butting my useless opinion with more of your useless opinions.

Jeeeeeeeeeeeeez :blink::wacko:

Paul and I met on the Bazaar on the 14th January (he joined my progressive rock forum that day)

July 3rd he flew to England to meet me

We fell in love while he drove all over the place coz I cannot read maps (we were supposed to go to Ingleton - but touched Darlington 4 times, Pierce Bridge 6 times, Scotch Corner twice and Bernard Castle twice and we never did make it to Ingleton)

It has been so long and so much has happened in between...

Arrived in Houston on October 29th 2006

Married 17th November 2006

Lost my father 8th January 2007 (all dates are a blur after this)

Conditional Green Card dated 24th October 2007

I-751 posted on 6th August 2009

Received on 7th August 2009 in VT

I told you long ago in this thread that I thought your opinion was very valid. I stated that you may be excatly right in everything you think. Why do you continue to argue with me? I totally understand your feelings. You are of the mind that without the allies help, WW2 would have been lost. I stated long ago in this thread that I do not wish to change your opinion, because the events of a 60 year old war do not concern me that much, and frankly really gone outside the subject matter of the thread.

I don't wish to argue these points with you... why do you keep trying to counter my opinion? Ok fine... you think the German war machine was too much for the Russians. I think the German war machine was a paper tiger that only took advantage of its neighbors who were in stress. When their enemies realized that death was preferable to capture by the Nazi's, they won with patriotism and shear guts. You have disagreed with me... I get it...

Enough. You are arguing just to argue at this point. Your allegations are baseless. Give it up. If you wanted American to have left Germany alone after WW2 and left everything to the Russians, so be it. You are being absurd. Actually all your counterpoints are absurd.

I'm with Chuckles on this. A counter point is Tim McVeigh? Please. You can do better than that people.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Senator Barack Obama
Senate Floor Speech on Public Debt
