Hey all, I have filed for the K-1 Visa to the Vermont Office and received the NOA1 January 13. I have been looking at other timelines and I have been seeing that many people have filed their cases after I have and receiving the NOA2 (which I am happy for but also jealous) before I have. To my understanding, I was told that case filing goes by a first come first serve basis. Can anyone shed some light here?

This just in........

they say first come first serve, but there is a catch to that, every case is differnt and is adjucated differently so you can be stuck at anytime during background checks...

You have to keep in mind that the people on VJ are just a small portion of all the people with active cases/petitions with USCIS. It is pretty much first come, first served but it is not an exact science. And don't forget, there are folks (on VJ) that have been waiting a year but no one ever compares to them.

Based on your timeline, you should expect some news soon...
