if you check your case status on the USCIS website and the date listed under "last updated" is different then your case has been touched.

that could mean that someone has looked at your file but it could also mean absolutely nothing. some people get touched and then nothing happens for months. others get approved and that date listed is still the date on their NOA1 and it's never updated.

Cool, thanks.I see you have been waiting forever and a day. This process is real frustrating because I sent my paperwork in January. I see other people's cases approved before mine and they sent their paperwork after I did. I thought the process was first come first serve.

This just in........

they say that it's first come first served but we all know it's not. they'll say the reason is that some cases are more complicated than others but it's pretty clear when some cases are approved in only a matter of weeks that they can do things pretty randomly some times. it's terrible to see and i know the feeling well.

i know it's not fun to hear but waiting is all you can do (for now at least). i was convinced my case was lost and finally today we got an NOA2 on paper- with no touches! it also happened to be right in the middle of the dates predicted by my timeline. yours will come and probably soon by the looks of it :) don't worry.
