Washington D.C. screwed with no reps?

Hi everyone,

I hoping to file a K-1 visa soon for my honey and I was reading on the forums that you can ask your senator/house of reps person to petition to USCIS if the time between your NOA1 and NOA2 is more than 6 months to kind of bump things along.

But being a resident of D.C., I have no representation in Congress. So...am I screwed if the app gets delayed?

Reason #890234908235908 why it's not a good idea to deny half a million people representation in Congress.

did a little wikipedia research and came up with Eleanor Holmes Norton. Looks like you're not out of luck, but hopefully you won't need to contact her :)
