Hi VJrs

I am going over my I-134 Affidavit of Support. I was wondering how others filled theirs out concerning section 7.

Where it says: I have other personal property, which the reasonable value is:

Do you need to have proof of value for these items? For instance I have farm equipment I have payed cash for over the years, this farm equipment has no title, hence there is no proof of ownership other than the reciept I recieved at the time of purchase. I don't have the reciepts anymore.

The part where it says list value of stocks and bonds:

Can I use the amount I have in my 401K that is co-managed by Fidelity. I do have a print out of its current value and how its invested.

Lastly, Where it says: I have life insurance in the sum of:

Can I use a survivor benifit policy that my company provides for me free of charge. It has no cash value, but in the event I die the bennificiery I have listed gets a lump sum payment.

Thanks in advance for your answers. I should financially qualify without these items, but I want to use everything available to me. I was just curious how others filled theirs out.

To simplify - if your income is sufficient to meet the minimum requirements for your household size, you do not need to disclose bank accounts/assets/bonds/life insurance policies/real estate and the like.

If you do list assets - you do need to back the $ amount listed with documentation.

As for mine, I have evidences of whatever was being declared in I-134 of my fiance. But for the personal stuffs i was not able to present any evidences (like his own personal things). But i guess if u are above poverty guidelines as long as u have ur job then consul wont gonna detail u about that.

Good Luck and God Bless :)
