Latest Tax Return at Interview

Hello all,

When my USC husband filed our I-130 petition at the US Embassy Tokyo back in August 2008,

we turned in his and his mother's I-864s and their tax returns for 2005, 2006 and 2007.

It was required to file I-864 and tax returns as well as I-130 for DFC Tokyo.

Now my interview is scheduled in July, and I am wondering if it is required to bring copies of their latest returns, which are for 2008.

I am planning to bring them anyways because it is always better than nothing, but I thought it would be very helpful if any of you who is/was in a similar situation can provide me your story.

Thank you :-)

As stated above, many times the CO will ask to see it, unless you are willing to be delayed after the interview - if they do ask for it and you don't have it - you should take it with you.

Thank you for your advise everyone :-)

I've asked my mother-in-law to email me a copy of her 2008 tax return.

It sounds I will definitely need it.

I wish the embassy's website has a little more specific information...
