Hi everyone. im pretty new to this and i about to go to sleep but that id ask this quick question. im sure its on here but im too sleepy to search. im leaving to the philippines tomorrow and i was wondering what forms i need to take in order for my wife to sign? i live in the US. and i want her to be with me here so bad. thank you for all your help. -Chris

May 11th 2009 ~ Flight Out From Los Angeles(LAX) - Manila With

Connecting Flight To General Santos

May 13th 2009 ~ Stepped Off Plane. Met In Person, General Santos Airport

(Happiest Moment, So Far)

May 13th 2009 ~ Purposed 15 Minutes After Arrival!!! She, Of Course, Said YES!!!

May 24th 2009 ~ WE'RE MARRIED!!!! YEHEY!!! AND SO HAPPY!!!

(ma, ma, ma, ma, ma, ma, ma, ma, ma - hehehehehe:)

June 19th 2009 ~ NSO Approved Marriage Contract Received (Bansalan, Philippines)....

12/02 Interview date, 7AM (Approved)

12/10 Visa on Hand

2009 AOS / EAD / AP Timeline:

4/07 Mailed AOS Package

4/08 Package received

4/14 Cashed Check/

4/18 Biometrics I-485

4/29 Biometrics done

5/02 CSC Transferred

5/05 I-485 Touched (This case is now pending at the office to which it was transferred)(30 days)

5/12 I-485 Touched

5/15 EAD Card Production Ordered and AP Approval notice sent

Hi Chris & Joyce.

You need the I-130 form and G-325A form for you and your wife. If your wife was previously married and she had children from that marriage, and you married her before any of her kids turned 18, then VJ recommends that you prepare I-130 forms for each of the minor children.

The only form your wife needs to sign is her set of G-325A forms, she is required to sign 4 copies. You will sign all the I-130 forms that are applicable (based on your family's composition) and your set of G-325As (also 4 copies).

You may download the forms from the USCIS website and fill them up using version 8.0 or higher of Adobe Acrobat Reader. When you fill up the G-325A, you only have to do it once...the form is programmed so it automatically fills up the remaining 3 copies for you.

The VJ Guides are very helpful. You and your wife should set some time aside and go over them together.

N-400 Timeline

02-23-2018: Sent N-400 Application online

02-23-2018: Date on NOA, retrieved from online account

02-23-2018: Date on Biometrics Appointment Letter (Biometrics Appointment at Jacksonville ASC on March 13, 10:00 a.m.)

03-08-2018: Biometrics complete

04-05-2018: Case status updated - Interview Scheduled on May 10, 2018, 10:15 a.m. :D

05-10-2018: Citizenship Interview - Passed English and Civics Tests, Recommended for Approval! :D 

06-19-2018: Received email and text notification: Naturalization Ceremony Scheduled; waited for letter to be uploaded on online account - it has been set on Wednesday, July 25, 3:00 p.m.

07-25-2018: I am now a U.S. Citizen!
