I-864 Form: 125% minimum poverty for ALL three years?

I am filling out Form I-864 and in order to be a sole sponsor for my wife, do I have to show income at 125% of Poverty Level for ALL THREE of the past three tax years to qualify, or only for the past one year?

I was in graduate school three tax years ago and therefore my income was below poverty level. Two tax years ago I started my own business and it was also below poverty level. However last tax year, I generated above 125% of Poverty Level. Therefore can I be a sole sponsor based on my 2008 Tax Year income, or will I need to get a joint sponsor because my 2006/7 tax years were below poverty level?

I believe it is based off of the last year's income only - I showed almost ZERO income for previous 2 years, but my income for last year was well over 125% - only used my w2 / tax returns without listing any assets and had no problems .

dont worry u should do well as of your last year

we submit the earlier years as a kind of assuring we have a stable job and income ..thts all ..so its a choice to send them or no

ok im a new grad and basically did not work 2 years ago and i just started working in august last year 2008 and did not reach the 125% above poverty line for my w2 of 2008 but my annual income does exceed the 125% poverty line and i have requested my employee profile and documents from work to show how much i am getting per year. i also collected my pay stubs. will this be okay?
