Which bank a/c to open?

Hi All,

Just wanted everyone`s view on this. Me and my wife(usc) already have two joint cheking accounts in Fifth Third Bank. Now I want to open one more account in some other bank.

What wd be the best bank to open a free cheking account or a savings account ?? I mean best in the ways, helps, advantages.

Also my present bank has told me to submit my Social Security number as soon as i recieve it. I am interested to know what difference wd it make after i submit my ssn to them....

That's hard to say. "Best" can mean different things to different people. Two banks off the top of my head would be Chase and Bank of America.

I need the third one just for myself. So is Bank of America & Chase are the best banks in respect to customer relations, bank facilities etc ??

Bank of America is definitely a good choice. If you are able to join a credit union of some sort that may be the best way to get the best benefits as far as services, interest rates, etc.

Banks use your SSN to report interest payments to the IRS as income.

We chose Bank of America, a big reason was that we intend to travel a lot in our RV and also move states, so we needed a bank that has many branches in all different states.
