Wishing everyone a Happy and safe 4th of July weekend. Still holding out for the march and april approvals so they can start on May. They have been slow going lately, need to see some pick up in that area for sure.

Less then 2 months now and Ahmed will be finished with his military, I will be going to see him at the end of July, it's been 5 months since my last trip there, I can't wait to wrap my arms around him. :star:

Brutal, isn't it?

I wholeheartedly expect a denial due to a CIMT, so I don't know what my huge hurry is..... I guess I just want to know it's under way and not just in a heap.

How does everybody cope with the separation?

We chat on the computer and on the phone, for which I'm grateful. I was just over to visit him, but could only manage a week due to my limited vacation time (15 days total sick/vacation per year). Two trips across the Atlantic & back at work the morning after a late arrival has me worn out.

Husband is living in substandard conditions with no income. I'm trying to hold down the fort here. I know I don't need to tell you how hard it is....

What is a CIMT? If you don't mind my asking?

I wish you luck on your journey -- it IS hard but it comes to fruition at some point.

Good luck,

I know exactly what you mean. I missed being with my lovely wife very much. You know…time seem to stand still when you are waiting for something very important in your life. Having to sit around and wait for something is beyond normal. I'm talking about a situation where you know that you have to wait...every bone in your body screams at you that you must wait and you know it's the only way that you'll stay sane. At the same time, the waiting itself is driving you insane

Today I feel extra hopeless and sad..........at the rate CSC is going, we probably won't get an interview date before our 1st anniversary in January.

I feel each day that passes is being stolen from us by this whole waiting game. None of us is guaranteed the next second, much less the next 6 months of waiting for an interview. We all have lives that are being put on hold by this endless waiting.

The whole process takes much too long, and the background/security checks and extra AP AFTER the successful interview is totally rediculous. Why can't they just do all of their little AP stuff BEFORE they schedule the person's interview, so this way after the interview is passed successfully, they can get the visa in hand on the spot. Waiting for MORE AP after you've passed the interview is cruel and unusual punishment, and torture after already waiting about 1 year.

I'm so tired of living our lives through Skype, although I am very grateful for it. I want a real life, with my real husband, not a virtual life through the internet.

Good luck everyone............

I know exactly where your comming from, It's so hard to deal with the seperation, I wish I could at least see my husband more then I get to, the breaks there giving him are pretty frequent but its not like the daily chatting we were doing before. At least he has his phone in the camp and we do talk daily, that does get expensive. I use the Walgreens rechargeable phone card and its not to bad, plus you dont have to enter a new pin each call and your only charged for what time you actually talk.

My boys are going to California tomarrow with my parents so prime time for me to go and see my husband but he is not on break yet. go figure, and the last min. flights right now are around 1500-3000 a ticket. I'm a good money saver but comared to a 1100 ticket may be worth the wait to go and see him after he is finished Sept. 1, and we won't have to be in a hurry.

This entire USCIS thing...when I look here daily and no approvals im like what the heck are they doing at work? Makes me wish I would of filed in Feb. then just waited at the NVC level untill Ahmeds completion, and submit the pcc and passport, oh well its all for a reason, not sure what that is. As long as were approved by Sept.1 or before I'll be happy.

We need to keep this forum up daily for some support of each other, even if we are comming up with some jokes to share for a good laugh. Hang in there everyone!!

I agreed whole heartedly with you both. I am sooooooo tired of waiting. Like Zahra said, I hate this vitual relationship that my husband and I have (yes I too am greatful to see him on cam everyday) and talk to him on the phone everyday, but I want my life to start NOW! Anyhow, so glad there are others who understand EXACTLY what I feel.

Hello May Filers!!!

I know exactly how everybody here feels.. even now that we have our interview date the days are still passing ever so slowly.

Worse is that I didn't have school or work to keep busy, so time passes way too slow. Luckily, husband and I can talk almost everyday for hours. It is a poor substitute for the real face to face time but I'm trying to count my blessing that at least we can do this everyday.

Keep your chin up, keep busy, and have faith... things will get better soon. CR1/IR1 petition has been picking up it's pace lately, hopefully they'd start churning out NOA2 faster now that the work visas are done (or almost done).

cheers!!
