USCIS not acting professionally

I just want to express my bemusement at USCIS and how they conduct their workload in respect of when they actually deal with the cases. Their website distinctly states they deal with cases according to when they are received. My I751 was filed with VSC back in August 2008. I had my letter of receipt within a week or so. My biometrics were done within less than 1 month and my case went into pending status with VSC. I received a NOA that my case had been transferred to CSC on the 26th February 2009 and was now under their durestiction. I have checked the online status since then and nothing has changed yet I read on many postings that others have filed much later than me and even into this current year and they have their green cards sent already. I have not received any RFE's or any other form of notice from CSC and wonder why do they say cases are dealt with in order of receipt if it's not true. Even cases that appear by their posters to have had complications, have even been approved. Yet my case seems to have been left on the backburner. I say GOOD LUCK and WELL DONE to those that have got their cards or they are ordered pending delivery. But being lied to after paying exactly the same as we all have to pay and each of us receiving completely different levels of service is really a questionable state of affairs and someone in authority should be asked why this happens not just once but in many cases as is obvious here on VJ.

THANKS FOR LISTENING TO MY VENT, PLEASE REPLY WITH YOUR VIEWS ON THIS AS IT IS A SUBJECT TO WHICH I AM SURE MANY HERE HAVE SUBSCRIBED IN THEIR VISA JOURNEY.

I SHOULD HAVE MENTIONED THAT I AM AN OLD MEMBER OF VJ BUT MY PROFILE AND DETAIL WAS LOST WHEN I TRANSFERED FROM ENGLAND TO THE USA TO MARRY MY FIANCEE WHO HAS NOW BEEN MY MUCH APPRECIATED WIFE SINCE 2006.

My case was transferred on the 25th of February and i was approved when i called uscis to enquire about my case.My online status still says case received and has not been touched since the date of transfer and i also have not recieved an approval letter. I filed July 31st 2008 .If i were you i would call USCIS and find out about your case.Maybe you have been approved as well and are unaware.Do not pay attention to the online website and what they are processing. That entire agency needs to disassembled and reassembled, when youcall USCIS press 1-2-3 that way you can speak to a customer service representative and ask them have u ben sent a request for evidence that should prompt them to tell you something tangible, rather than "Your case is pending".I hope this helps

Call them or have your senator check into it.

Some people that apply direct to CSC have been approved recently in 45 days.

WE had problems with CSC and my senator got things moving FAST.

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

!! ALL PAU!

Thank you Trini I will give that a try and see what they come up with because I have really found myself wanting for an understanding of the whole process since I started it back in 2005 and every step has been an eye opener for me. If this kind of inefficiency was happening in the business world they people responsible would find themselves wanting a new job because you really cannot be that lax when dealing with paying customers. Thanks again for the reply and good luck with your continued journey through this maze of disastrous legislation.

Thanks Haole I will try the phone to USCIS first and see what they come up with and if thats not an acceptable answer I will then do the Senator thing. I am not by any means panicking over this as each step has had some trauma in it and I think that worrying just causes you to think of even worse things happening than is in reality so I just sail along and let it all take it's course. However, as I stated when I see others (God bless them all ) getting exceptional service like some of those you mentioned it annoys me to think that USCIS constantly ram their PROCESS DATE INFO and WE DEAL WITH CASES AS WE RECEIVE THEM statement up our noses we should all be entitled to better explanation of the facts when it's quite clear that their policies are being wrongly notified to us paying customers.

You are in the same boat as most of the rest of us who have filed to lift conditions.

How PROFOUND rebeccajo! How long did you sit around thinking of that clever contribution? I think that's the point trying to be made here. Some people applied over a year ago and are still waiting, some people applied 60 days ago and already have their green cards, and some people waited for 8 or 9 months, then got transferred to CSC in an attempt to "speed up" the process and now are sitting in limbo. It's absolutely ridiculous and it's unfair. I saw someone on here who has been waiting for 15 months while nearly daily someone posts they were approved in 45 days or 60 days. It's garbage- we all paid the same amount. USCIS has to get their act together- that's the point. I have been waiting for approval since June 2008. It burns me every time I see someone with a headline "approval in 60 days". I just filed my naturalization papers (more $$ sent) and people have a pool going as to which will come first- the green card or naturalization.

If you have been waiting for several months - go ahead and file for citizenship (as long as you are LPR for 3 years less the 90 days)- that will force the resolution of the removal part. In my opinion you are in the 'easier' part of the process - the AOS is heart breaking and any delay I truly feel sorry for people who have to experience it. In the removal state - there is really nothing but another greencard - your status is still LPR and you are able to work and travel. In my opinion this is more of an inconvenience than a burden like AOS or K1/K3 - however, I wish you a speedy greencard. Good Luck

Hey folks,

Guess what happened today. Seems that soon as someone starts kicking about how the USCIS works things start happening. Maybe they have someone monitoring these posts to see who and how people are making these issues known.

I GOT A LETTER TODAY SAYING "CONGRATULATIONS" YOUR APPLICATION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS HAS BEEN APPROVED AS OF 05.07.09.

So I thank you all for your comments and contributions to this topic and wish all of those still waiting a speedy conclusion to your applications. Just because I have my approval now I am not done yet and I am sure that soon as

USCIS has collapsed and working like spoiled child because there is nobody who can ask them what the hell they are doing! How VSC can process cases who files after us (Nov 2008) and how CSC can think about processing cases filed in March 2009 with our old pending cases. More than 80,000 (Official USCIS fuigure) transfers VSC-CSC faced/facing this kind cirminial treatment.

We all need to write to respective senators, congressmen (also the active National immigration politicians) and also USCIS (high Officials). We all are paying them and they have to follow some manners and rules.

Hey, don't take it out on me.

My husband waited almost eighteen months to get his CONDITIONAL greencard. How long did you wait on yours?

During the entire time he was waiting, I never belly-ached about what was 'fair' and what wasn't. Life ain't fair and I couldn't, didn't and don't give a healthy ####### about whether or not somebody who files after us gets approved before us.

All I care about is a fair adjudication - that USCIS doesn't mess my husband's file up with another persons, or that they don't get his identity confused with a party who is unfriendly to the US.

But maybe I feel that way because my husband's case was delayed due to namecheck. Something he will go through again if and when he does decide to naturalize.

Is that profound enough for you?
