Another Question!

Do we need to have a proof of a planned wedding with our I-129 or for anything else such as the interview? My fiance and I (the beneficiary) have not thoroughly planned the wedding yet. We wanted to just possibly do a civil ceremony since we won't really know when the K-1 visa will be finalized. We will plan the big shebang later and give ourselves more time to plan it! Is this going to be a problem if we don't have receipt of venue, invitations, receipt of wedding dress, etc? Please help!

No, not at all. Only a signed letter of intent from each party

No, you do not need proof of a future wedding, but you may want to take some proof of engagement to your interview -- this can be anything from the ring, congratulations from family and friends, pictures from a wedding shower, etc etc etc.

but you may want to take some proof of engagement to your interview

This is NOT required though. At the K-1 interview you have to show Proof of an Ongoing Relationship, not engagement. Yes it is helpful but not a requirement. Obviously with the K-1, it is assumed everyone knows that you two have to get married with 90 days of entry to the US.
