Actually the lion's do have a bit of welfare state thing going on - as the "male" sits on his ####### while the women do the hunting for him.

The only time he gets off his behind is when another male wants to steal his "bitches".

O/T but I've been watching the Planet Earth series on DVD - there's footage in there of a pride of lions bringing down and killing a full-grown elephant.

I was surprised - didn't think they went after stuff that big.

I saw that too. I suppose they could do the same with a killer whale...if it were beached. But a bunch of lions in the ocean would actually look kind of funny.

You should youtube the 'battle at Kruger'. Lions take down a buffalo, wrestle it into the water, Croc decides it wants some buffalo too, tug'o'war between lions and croc. Lions win. Herd of buffalo come back and rescue baby buffalo by chasing off the lions. Brilliant stuff.

What about the old money families who are in foreclosure? What about the peasant families from India who've made their fortune buying and running dilapidated old motels?
