It's perhaps one definition of his but in no place (that I am aware of) does Christ command Followers to "compel others" to be generous.

I don't see why Socialism and Capitalism can't go hand-in-hand. Maybe it's not fair that you'd be required to help others, but in doing so, you're helping the economy. A better economy means more jobs. Higher employment means less people to help. Less people to help means more people helping themselves, which is essentially Capitalism.

Most people who live in industrialised nations believe in a mixture of both - but that's a bit boring.
