Loss of Employment

Well I filed for the K1 visa in March and God willing it will be approved by July. The bad news is that I lost my position at the company I was working for and while I will be searching for new employment (hopefully by the time it is approved I will have something new) the company offered me a severance package that should cover me through this time frame. When I filed for the petition I had work write out the paperwork I needed for the I134 form so I do have this and the letter from the employer stating the severance package. Would it be advised to document all of this and get a cosponsor?

I am honestly hoping to have a job before this date arrives but I would like to cover all the bases just to be sure.

co-sponsor would be good, because your serverance package will not last, and the VO needs to make sure that your fiancee will not become a public charge...

Line up a co-sponsor just in case. Hope for a new job before the time comes to fill out the I-134. Good luck

I will be looking for new employment in the next couple of days. It was completely unexpected but I am making the most of a bad situation.
