Nice hotels in Manila

Try the Manila hotel. I stayed at Manila hotel more than ten times (my hubby and I stayed four times). The hotel was nice and clean, excellent services and close to the USEM and reasonable price, too. We always enjoyed the ocean view room, very nice! We stayed at Heritage hotel once and we never like it, not very clean and the services was not good. And we would not recommend to anybody.

There are many nice hotels in Makati but it's a good idea if you and your fiancee will stay at the hotel close to the USEM. Would be less stress to both of you on the interview day.

Here's the site:

Your looking for nice. I have personally stayed in more than a few during my many trips to Phil. The Pennisula, Shangri-La, and Renaissance have always been very nice to stay at. Service is best at The Penninsula, The Shangri-La is tops all around but gets to be expensive. The Renaissance is nice since it is part of the Marriott chain of hotels so I get my miles.

All top tier hotels so pretty much US prices in a third world country.

Yah I took your advice and the Belagio is top of my list right now gonna stay near embassy in cheapie for 2 days for interview then heading to Cebu for 5 days then back to Manila and probably stay in Makati for sure....just hoping for some other inputs before I went ahead and sprung for the Belagio...

What show is it u speak of?

The show is mostly at night, but it is interesting during the day too. You can't have a jealous GF in order to enjoy the show (I'm lucky, my fiance, now wife, enjoyed the show more than I did! She liked seeing what all the sexy girls are wearing... things she wouldn't dare wear.). Bellagio is on the street where lots of bars are, bars where the girl dance on stage until morning. You sit outside the Bellagio where they have a nice coffee/cafe kind of set up there and just watch all the coming and going.... men, women, kids, natives, foreignors... it is just a great place to people watching, you see all types so it isn't boring. If your fiancee is the least bit curious, she'll have a grand time watching too. It is just a better place to be than one of those boring high end hotels with all the stuffy people around.

Life..... Nobody gets out alive.

"Our Wedding Prayer"

Lord, help us to remember when we first met,and the strong love that grew between us.

To work the love into practical things so nothing can divide us

Grant us a Love that grows stronger with each passing year.

We ask for words both kind and loving

and for hearts always ready to ask forgiveness as well as to forgive.

Guide us to overcome every challenge

and keep our dreams pure to each other always.

Dear Lord,we put our marriage into Your hands.Amen

If your heart acquires strength, you will be able to remove blemishes from others without thinking evil of them.

Try the City Garden in Makati. That is always our first choice because its nice and very affordable. They have a rooftop pool that you can enjoy especially during these super hot days. And my husband always enjoyed the food there.

I can also recommend The Pan Pacific Hotel in Manila. I think its a 5 star hotel so it will be a bit pricey. Food there is expensive(the rooftop restaurant) but we always eat at the ground floor where they have a cafe just at the back of the hotel. And the sushi there is divine, super sarap.

The Sofitel is also very nice but expensive. They have the best service because its really what you paid for. But the security guards there are not so nice. Filipinas with foreigners are treated differently for some reason....just my experience....

Good luck

If you need to be close to the US Embassy, I've stayed at Bayview Park Hotel before. It's right across the street. I've also heard Manila Hotel is nice too - we ate breakfast there once but never stayed there. That one is close to the Luneta, historic sites, and the US Embassy.

If location to the embassy isn't important, then I suggest EDSA Shangri-la. It's right next to SM Megamall and Shangri-la mall. The rooms are nice and the breakfast buffet is quite impressive.
