More information please, was it denied? what was the exact reason? Did you have an overstay in the United States since you say you entered without a visa?

Any more information would be helpful in having people answer your question.

Good luck

i was granted Tps for liberians that means terporary protective status and never accumulated any illegal presence. i have been married since 2003 and me and my wife have lived together for about 7 years. I could not adjust my status due to i came in without inspection .So i ha to come back to liberia for my immigrant visa. The consular denied my visa stating that my marriage was did not enough evidence , bu refused to look any my documentation .

What is your spouse doing about your problem in the US? He/she can get help through the office of the U.S. Senator from the state of residence. Or, he/she could work with the Catholic Charities staff because they have immigration specialists who deal with this kind of thing quite often.

Sounds like you didn't have a waiver prepared, you probably didn't know if you needed one or not. I usually send my clients to usvisaprep.net to get the information ahead of time from a former US. Vice Consul.

You may need a waiver in the future, but the problem you have now is not related to waivers, but rather a returned petition. They have denied you because you have not proven the validity of your marriage to their satisfaction. (Once you get over this hurdle, they may still deny you because of the way you entered the US. Then you will want to understand the waiver process. But, first things first.) Many others have been through this and you may want to post your question in the IR-1/CR-1 forum. The regional forums may also be able to give you some advice from people who have dealt with the same Consulate as you.
