Assuming I have no RFE's and, eveything goes smooth in Vermont the timelines on VJ lead me to believe from the NA01 until the NA02 is about 4 months (USCIS states 6 months)..It's not clear to me what happens after the NA02.

Does Vermont send the NA02 directly to the Lima Peru Consulate ? I keep seeing refernce to a Visa Processing center ? I thought that was Vermont ?

Again, based on VJ stats the Lima embassy process is then 30 - 60 days, but I see references for Packet 1, 2 and 3 timelines? What are these packets ?

I guess, to be specific, my question is what is the process after the NA02 is approved ?

I recieved NA01 May 1, 2009 - I am expecting my Finace to have her interview in 6 months from that date (November 1) and, based on VJ posts she will have her Visa in 2-3 days >? She will be in Va w/ me by Nov 15,,

Sorry for the long post,,

APPROVED, NOTHING COMPLICATE!!!!! GOOD LUCK.

The VSC (Vermont Service Center) sends all approved petitions to the NVC (National Visa Center) who forwards it to the appropriate consulate. You will then make an appointment for an interview (exact procedures for this vary, check the consulae website or regional forums here) And your fiancee will present the needed documents for the interview. You can begin to gather and prepare the needed documents now, agin review the instrcutions from the consulate as they vary a bit from country to country.

VJ timelines are generally more accurate than USCIS timelines.

Timelines and actual dates can vary, do not buy any plane tickets or make wedding plans that cannot be changed or that will cost you money if you do. The NVC may pass your petition through immediately or may choose to do AP (additional processing) that can take up to 8 weeks. It is possible she will be here by November, but not a sure thing by any means.

Thanks again..What generates the national center to pull an application for "AP" additional processing ? is it a random pull, or is based in part on RFE's, Beneficiary Countries etc ? Your response that VJ stats are more accurate than USCIS is very uplifting..

Additional processing is done depending on what they find during your background check....
