You can travel within US even your visa has expired. you can also buy your plane ticket under your married name as long as you bring your SSN original card which shows your married name together with your passport when you enter the airport.

I didn't have a problem when I traveled to Houston by myself.

AOS

03-03-2009 - AOS, EAD, AP sent to Chicago office (USPS)

03-11-2009 - Notice Date

03-25-2009 - Case transferred to CSC

05-05-2009 - GC, EAD card, AP received. :D

You should be fine to travel with an expired visa since you are already married to your petitioner so the 90 days requirement to get married for K1 Visa is already out of the question just bring your Marriage Certificate with you when you travel. As for purchasing tickets, its ok to use your married name.. should not be a problem and keep your tickets/boarding passes coz you can use those as an evidence when you file for removal of conditions or the I-751.For domestic flights, usually you will only be asked for an ID and your tickets. When we travelled to NJ,NY and WA before and I only showed my state ID and our tickets and had no problem so you should be fine.Have a safe trip.

If you want your ticket under your married name, bring also a copy of your marriage certificate.

You also have an option to use your maiden name. I have several trips this summer and all of my tickets are under my maiden name. Even though i have my EAD under my married name... I'm still sticking with my maiden. With me, its just a matter of preference.

Your main identifications if you travel by plane within the united states are your Driver License , Green card, EAD or your Passport. If you don't have the first three, I strongly recommend that you have your plane ticket in your unmarried name to coincide with your passport to avoid the hassle of presenting more documents.

Have fun on your travels.
