Finally, I got my visa this morning :dance: . Even it took months, it’s worth the wait. I am flying to Sacramento, CA this May 12; I have only 2 more days to prepare. I want to ask what should I expect at the POE and what is the procedure there? Another is, what are the things I should bring to US. Tips and advices are well appreciated. Thank you very much! :star::D

10-01-2008: I-130 NOA1

10- -2008: I-129F sent

11-01-2008: I-129F NOA1

01-21-2009: I-129F NOA2

01-23-2009: I-130 approved

02-07-2009: received letter from NVC - Choice of Agent and Address form.

02-23-2009: USEM Interview for k3 (but case forwarded to FPU)

03-02-2009: called FPU for the listing of additional requirements

03-12-2009: returned to FPU, submitted documents and had an interview.

03-15-2009: received an email from NVC - bill to agent $400 processing fee and paid it

03-26-2009: done with the fraud unit

03-30-2009: recieved the instruction packet for CR-1

05-09-2009: visa received

05-12-2009: my flight to Sacramento California

July 8, 2009- Sent 1-751 in to CSC

July 15, 2009- CSC sent back my papers saying its too early for 90 days expiration

July 16, 2009- Resend my papers 85 days before GC expired

July 18, 2009- Arrived at CSC-10:53 am

July 22, 2009- Cashed Check

July 27, 2009- NOA 1 recieved

July 31, 2009- Biometric Notice Recieved

Aug 18, 2009- Biometric Schedule

Sep 03, 2009- Card Production ordered

Sep 09, 2009-Approval letter recieved in the mail

Sep 12, 2009- 10 Year GC recieved

Don't forget to bring the visa packet and all your school and job credentials na rin as you might need those in applying for a job here (in case you are planning to). Bring pedicure set, cuticle remover and tabo lol!

Pink is right, don't forget to bring your visa packet and credentials. Put them all in your hand-carry baggage.

You can check TSA's website here for do's & don'ts and what & what not to bring/put in your baggage.

Yeah dont forget to bring your visa pocket, you should hand carry it. Dont put it with your luggage. That happens to me, good thing NAIA staff were very accomodating, they had to pull out my luggage again just to get my visa pocket. Not my fault though, the guard in the immigration wont allow me to hand carry that small trolley luggage because its over weight daw so i had no choice, i had to check in that bag but i forgot that my visa pocket was there. Hehe yeah right, TABO is important too. I brought a Bidet from the Phils. (its a hose to be attached on the tube of the flush of the toilet). I used empty mineral water bottle when im not in the house or travelling.

delete the term CR or "comfort room" from your vocabulary...If you ask people.."where is the CR?" they will give you an "excuse me" reply or a confuse look all the time. Remember it's Bathroom or Rest room from NOW on...... :star:

ariesgirl: Congrats!!!! tama si pink,dala ka manicure/pedicure set..mahal pedicure and manicure d2..ako nagdala..as in kumpleto pati acetone at cuticle remover kc iba yung cuticle nila d2,dala ka din mrami creamsilk kung yan gamit mo,tabo,favorite toner,lotion or moisturizer mo.And dont forget lahat ng important papers mo..put it on your handcarry not on check-in luggage.
