when I was going through photo ideas... I found a banner for a festival that had a current date on it....

Also, ATM receipts from a bank in country and then back it up with photos works as well

get creative... in a kidnapping situation, "proof of life" photos are taken with a current newspaper... so take out the landmark and take a closeup photo of the two of you and a paper

Okay thats a good idea.. I will send the emails anyways and the 10 or so pictures we have together and my orders.. We are hanging out tommrow so well bring our camera and go up to seoul tower and try to find something with the date on it.. Hopefully we can get a banner in english..

Payxibka, I think your "over thinking" this situation.

If he is in Korea now, due to military orders, which can be verified via orders and other official paperwork, and his G-325a will show his current location, now,

and if his benificiary is Korean, and living there now, as her G-325A will show, and with the pictures (with locations/date on the back of them), he meets the criteria of meeting within 2 years of the petition, and they will have more information when of being together for the relationship part of the interview, I think he is good to go.

Only thing I sent with my application was boarding passes to Turkey, her boarding passes when she visited me (again, his orders to Korea show his location/date), and emails/chat logs, plus pictures of us together - just standard pictures, nothing to fancy like "landmarks" or "proof of life" images (creative I must say, but a bit of an overkill IMHO), and my petition was approved just fine by USCIS, now it's at the embassy.

Remember, at the USCIS stage, they really just want to see if you meet the criteria of meeting in the two year period. The proof of relationship is at the embassy stage, and by looks of it, they both be in Korea when that comes up.

Plus at that stage, I am sure the embassy will be able to see they were together in Korea... Just saying...

I am not over thinking... the OP is under or not thinking... he is/was insistent on e-mails, (IM's, phone records, cards, etc..) which gets him nowhere... I was simply trying to get him to think differently.

He has orders that sent him to Korea... who is to say that he did not have his orders changed and thus never went? His orders by themselves may or may not show he was in country... therefore he probably needs to back it up with other evidence.

I would think USCIS could verify your orders with DoD, but just in case...

Write a little statement declaring you and she have met personally. Both of you sign it in front of a US notary, either on post or at the US embassy. Then you'll have proof from the US government that you've met.

What would u consider a face to face meeting? I mean shes sitting right next to me now and I seen her everyday for the past year.. Im trying to think of what to send.. All we have is tons of pictures together.. and a couple emails.. and phone records I guess.. but the phone records are irrelevent cause they dont show my name.. I could just highlight my number on her phone bill.. but whos to say that it isnt someone elses number in their eyes.. I have My orders pictures.. emails and instant messenger conversations.. And she went to the states to see my parents and visit universitys but I dont think that they want to see pictures of them together cause in their eyes how do they know its my parents lol? Any advice? I mean im still here in korea I guess I could print out my military records showing that im still here and when I leave.

One of the forms that you has to fill out ask your for your phone number, if she highlights your number on her phone bill it is a prove, two persons can´t have the same phone number.

Your orders together with a few pictures are enough. Attach a brief description of how you met, you are living in the same area, etc. You are good to go.

OH NO!!!! Not the Eiffle/Seoul tower photos! Listen this is very simple. It does not matter WHERE you meet. Only THAT you meet. Emails do not prove a thing except you sent an email. Save those for the interview.

You need to give an explanation of where, when and how you MET IN PERSON at least ONE time in the last two years. Your evidence should back tha up. If you say you met in Korea in June 2008, you should show SOMETHING that verifies you were IN Korea in June 2008 and a photo together ...anywhere. You do not need to sign the photos as it does not prove you were together, the photo proves that.

For an example. I met my Ukrainian wife in Prague CZ Republic...NOT in Ukraine, quite by accident. I sent a two sentence description of how we met (almost fit in the Q18 box) and ONE photo of us together in a restaraunt in Prague, though it could have been anywhere and it was not time stamped. On the back it said "Praga 19/9/07" And that is ALL. Approved in 58 days, no RFEs. One year exactly from that date we had our photos taken together again...at our wedding.

I just got my NOA1 so I have no idea if I submitted enough evidence, but one of the many peices of evidence that I did give them were two bus tickets. My fiancee and I traveled together and got two bus tickets showing that we bought our tickets in sequential order, both showed our identifications while doing so, and rode in two seats right next to each other. Together with a picture of us at our destination, I think I provided more evidence of being together face to face than a IM conversation could. Perhaps you could do something similar. I also submitted a boarding pass and passport stamp showing that I was in Peru in December 2008 with a picture of my fiancee and I in front of a Christmas tree. Perhaps there is some similar temporal photograph you two could take.

Just trying to think of some ideas.

Hey thanks for your service, Hoffy.

My fiance and I had his/her receipts. Maybe (if you can) go out to that dinner, do separate checks and then highlight the date/time on each receipt. Go shopping, to a movie, etc. and repeat until you have enough receipts to tape/paste/etc. onto two sheets of paper (his sheet/her sheet). Maybe hit a bank/ATM together, do the same thing with those receipts. Sign your sheet, and have your fiancée sign hers. I also had a co-worker and my mother write and sign testimonial letters (very brief, a few paragraphs) attesting to having met my fiance. Good luck!

Thank goodness for that billboard! But if the sign was in English maybe they will not believe you are in Korea?

You have plenty of evidence, send the petition.

Good luck

That shouldn't make a difference, though, should it? Even if they were meeting face to face on the moon, that'd satisfy the requirement that they have been together in the past two years.
