Thanks Steve yes I am thinking exactly what you said but also just peeves me that it is interpretation for some operators to guess, I mean it's an information screen they should be trained on, why is it so hard to tell?

But I know what is going on I just wonder why they don't

Holy Carp!! I called DOS today was on hold a long time but I said I hope you have some good news for me today and then she said yes an interview has been scheduled. I said ok when (thinking Steve's timeline) and the answer is August 17th at 7:15 AM ack ack ack that is so quick!!!! Oh yea :dance::dance:

now I have to finish a big work project before this, and get off work (too bad I can't take off a month)

And I am not sure I will be able to make an ACH session since we have a Monday Interview. So they mailed out the P4 today I hope she gets it quick thru China Post or that it arrives at all.

HMMM. I called this morning and got no date. I'll need to wait until Monday to call again but it looks like August instead of September. Good news.

This morning, DOS confirmed my sister in-law's interview is scheduled for August 19. Here's a rough timeline for her.

NOA1 date Jan 25 recd. Feb 2 notice date

NOA2 March 9 35 days

NVC # March 21

NVC complete April 28

NVC out May 6

GUZ in July 11

INT assigned July 20

Interview August 19

Filing to CR1 interview 6 days under 8 months.

For reference, my wife's K3 case was the fastest reported on CFL in 2006. It took 8 days under 8 months from filing the I-130 to the K3 interview. In 2006, we knew on June 27th that the interview would be August 8th. At that time a CR1 interview assigned in June would have been in September. Just another data point indicating K3 is obsolete.

Here's my wife's timeline for comparison.

I-129F for K3/K4 Timeline

12/12/2005 Mailed I-130 to Nebraska Service Center (xfr CSC)

12/16/2005 Day 5 I-130 Delivered (humbug mail delays)

01/11/2006 Day 25 Checks Cashed WHEW

01/13/2006 Day 27 Date of NOA1

01/21/2006 Day 35 Date of NOA1 received at home from CSC

01/23/2006 Mailed I-129F for K3/K4 to Chicago Exp. Mail

01/26/2006 NOA1 for I-129F (rec'd Jan 28)

01/31/2006 I-129F in computer and MSC Day 8

04/05/2006 NOA2 Email Notification DAY 73

04/12/2006 NVC Logged and Cleared QC, Day 80

04/18/2006 NVC transferred to GUZ Day 86

05/17/2006 P3 Sent

05/22/2006 P3 received by mail from GUZ Day 120

05/24/2006 P3 Out to GUZ Day 122

06/27/2006 P4 Sent from GUZ Day 156

07/02/2006 P4 Delivered Day 160

08/08/2006 Interview Day 198 6.6 monthsPASSED

If you meant September 7, there would be a little problem: it's Labor Day. The Consulate observes American and Chinese holidays, so I expect it to be closed on that Monday.
