CHINA APPLICANTS . . . .

;)

Although I was going the K3 route, I recently switched to the CR1 . . . . .

But I think the following is important for those trying to get a loved one out of China

However, my timeline prevents it from being seen.

My 129f zipped out the NVC to Guangzhou -of course-

04 - 24 - 2009 129f left the NVC

05 - 07 - 2009 Packet 3 received

3 weeks and 3 days

:dance::blink::star:

Am I the only one shocked at this time? (typical is 2 months?)

Do I dare hope for this speed with the CR1????

I-130 Submission to Interview - 162 days

NVC Out to P4 - 86 days

2009-02-02 Nanning Wedding

USCIS Journey - 1 MONTH

2009-03-04 : I-130 Sent

NVC Journey- 7 WEEKS

2009-04-02 : NOA2, I130 Sent to NVC

DHL Journey- 7 WEEKs

2009-05-19 : NVC Out

Embassy Journey - 6 WEEKS

2009-07-06 : CR1 Delivered to Guangzhou

2009-08-13 : Visa Approved !!!!

2009-09-12 : US Entry JFK

No clue but do let us know. I have my brother in-laws case I'm watching too. It cleared NVC a few days ago.

I don't believe so, as there are others here of VJ who cleared NVC in January and February that have not got P3 yet. For me, NOA2 was 2-9-09, file sent to GUZ on 2-19-09, and still nothing. I call DOS once a week and only electronic copy of file has been received, as of 4-22-09. The wait, unfortunately, continues for some......................

I am very sorry to hear this. I was hoping for a string of confirmations.

The level of inconsistancy amazes me.

I hope more will keep this thread alive so we can sort of monitor the time lag in China customs.

Our NVC out to P3 received on the K3 was also three weeks back in 2006. This was quite out of the ordinary at the time. I had been tracking three possible packages and the timeline was running about six weeks. On a day I calculated we had three more weeks, my wife showed me the P3 on the webcam. Right or wrong, I've concluded that NVC sends some packages that go right through to the Consulate. Maybe they contain expedited cases or other paperwork. Perhaps they fill empty space in those packages with random case files and we got lucky. In three years, I haven't found a more plausible answer to why the rare case sails on to GUZ ahead of the rest but it's one of the reasons I recommend keeping the filing as thin as practical for the circumstances.

Well what do you know, as I spoke too soon. According to DOS this morning, P3 was sent out on Saturday, which would have been exactly three months. Now the real fun begins!

Eric

The appropriate timeline is to count from NVC out to P3 sent. Sounds like another 10 week timeline to me.

to compare . . . my K3 was not expedited by me, so maybe it was random case picked up somehow.

This thread is about people waiting for P3 after their case leaves NVC, not NOA1 to NOA2.

When i called to speak to DOS i found out they batch out shipments. This is why some of the application packages are up to 300lbs. It is also why certain people who made it in at the last part of a batch typically see faster times. They didn't have to wait for the shipment to fill up.

Its very strange how it all works. Mine was part of a 96lb shipment that we tracked and it was recieved by the consulate in what would be considered fairly fast time. However we are still waiting for our P3. So once it gets to the consulate i have a feeling there is little order to the dates in the containers. Thats just my guess.

Take it for what it is worth. Unfortunately for my wife, her goal was to get her slip by June 3, my birthday, so she could be here for that. Unfortunately with no appointment date in hand we have had to accept it will probably be more like august (Of course after summer is winding down) to arrive. Hopefully the p3 comes soon.

Typically, the Consulate works all files in a given package on the same day. That's generally a Saturday. Since you can never be sure which DHL package contains your file, I expect your file was not in the package delivered May 5. The DOS visa info line will know if your case has been received by GUZ. If they say no, then it's not in the package you thought it was.
