Cheap Passport Photos

The cost never ends, I had to do my photos the kids photos, (passport and medical) etc etc, police check, passports for the kids rush of course! But all worth it in the end right? (don't forget about moving costs!) I had my photos and the kids done at the local photo shop in the mall, they stamp the back for passport issues, anyway done right the first time and it is authentic - better to be right than make a mistake I had 3 sets for me and 2 for the kids done for like $ 70.00 ouch. If you have a membership at Costco, they are $5.99 (cdn) for 2, or alternatively, Wal-Mart is pretty cheap too.

yes I have a membership at costco. I was going to suggest Costco also. So I wil just reenforce it.

I had to get passport photos for my new passport. Kinko's is like $13 or $14 for 2.

I had it done their before and when I went to costco I saw the price after so next time I needed passport photos I went to Costco

$10 just seemed like a lot to me. Figured I'd poke around for a better bargain.

And yes, $2 cheaper does make it easier for me $2 is 2 more dollars to put towards my grad school fund.

if passport photos that are $2 cheaper makes it easier for you ... you may want to re-evaluate your financial plan. this should be the simple, no-brainer part of your I-129F application as there are many more costs heading your way.

If someone is on a tight buget, then it will make a differnce

BTW if you DIY your pix with a digi-cam then make sure your background is white, like a large piece of card or sheet; and the pose they want is 'as featured on America's most wanted' - no smile nothing.

I'm actually quite scared of my one.

UK prices btw for these pix, at Snappy snaps, cost me around $25+ for 4..so if you can get em for anything under $10 I'd say you're laughing.

I cant remember where we got our pics I will ask my american baby when I talk to him after his work today but I know we got like a whole full sheet of photos each which is good as I will be using the spares for my medical and interview. Ill find out as soon as possible and let ya know the cost etc.

In the UK Steve got his at asda's a full sheet for 10 pounds.

Mine were 12.95 for 2 at Walmart. I took those to staples and copied a bunch for almost nothing. Cut them to 2X2. Used the official ones for our passports and the rest for the medical, application and interview.

Ok i spoke to my man - we went to CVS and we paid about $10-12 cant remember exactly how much and we got like a sheet of approx 12 or so - cant remember exactly how many pics but enough to fit a sheet lol

Oy vey. What happened to people just being nice and not needing to add snotty comments? Or at the very least, not saying anything at all.

Let's put me looking for the cheapest passport photos into the same category as using coupons at that grocery store. Why not save a buck when you can? It doesn't mean that I'm necessairly too poor to go through the immigration process or get married. Or that those few dollars I save is goign to greatly alter my lifestyle. But a few dollars is a few dollars. And I'm somewhat offended that people are assuming I must be too poor if I want to save a few bucks on photos. Assumptions aren't always accurate.

If I can save a nickel or a few dollars. I will do it. No prob for me. I am always looking for a good deal - call me cheap. I dont care. But my house is paid for and I eat steak and drink Crown every weekend (of course I go with the best prices).
