Also, speaking of what's technically required is not real clear. I've read volumes on it, but the I-485 instructions still say:

If you are a K-1 fiancé(e) or K-2 dependent who had a medical examination within the past year as required for the nonimmigrant fiancé(e) visa, you only need to submit a vaccination supplement, not the entire medical report. You may include the vaccination supplement with your adjustment-of-status application. The supplement used to be the I-693A, no longer a current document. But you would think if they absolutely had to have the new I-693 they would explain it better in the actual instructions by saying the vaccination section of the medical report.

I disagree. The I-693 instructions are very clear.

We're talking about two different sets of instructions. The I-485 instructions aren't perfectly clear and that's the main document for AOS where people would start the process. I wish that would be clearer, but it would mean a laborious form revision.

I still haven't found any RFEs for only the form itself when a complete immunization record of a K visa applicant was submitted on a DS3025, but I'm still looking. The RFE evidence of lost medicals, like your daughters, is pretty abundant. That's one of the reasons we didn't do an I-693. We didn't want to spend money on a Civil Surgeon or go through the extra steps and expense of Dr. Arnold if they were going to lose the medical exam results anyway. There was also the issue of the TB skin test. New FAQs at the time said you had to have one, even if you had an x-ray with negative results recorded on your K visa medical exam. That page has been revised a few times since October. We decided to wait and find out what was needed if/when the time came and only do a Civil Surgeon when they told us personally in an RFE just exactly what they required. So the results turned out to be they didn't lose the medical, they accepted the DS3025 for immunization requirements, and they accepted the negative TB results from the x-ray done prior to the visa. It seems the ones where that is accepted are K1s who are transferred to California Service Center. At a local office, it could be totally up to how that officer sees it and that could be alot of officers in hundreds of offices so hard to make generalizations.

Yes, the medical is also a topic that has been on my mind too. We have our interview this week for AOS. We applied back in May 2008, when the I693A vaccination supplement was acceptable. We had that done in April 2008 by a CS here, and by the time we got our papers together it was May. Of course, they don't see many people interviewing with I693A's anymore (we are way off the processing times for our local office, which is really doing 485s from 5 months ago). I am wondering if we get an RFE at the interview to get the vaccination part of the I693 filled, or if they stick to the rules that were in force when our application was submitted. Technically they should do the latter, but I am worried that they might do the former.

The rules that were in effect at the time of application are supposed to apply. But that wouldn't stop an IO officer who decides to make up his own policies from requesting something more from you.

Jumpin on this thread...i'm trying to schedule a time to meet a CS for said form, interview is in a month. Missing only the hpv vac. do you think it is possible to wing it at this stage and simply go to the interview without it? An adjudicator must of already looked over everything right?

I think they check to see if the basic papers are turned in, signed, etc but in the case of going to an interview, I think it's the adjudicator/interviewer who goes through and carefully evaluates your files. He probably doesn't pick up your file until right before your interview. You can't be lacking any immunizations that are age appropriate. You could get the HPV at a family doctor or public health clinic and submit that with your DS3025 to Dr. Arnold and get your I-693 immunizations transcribed within a month.

They'll only accept it if the doctor transfers over. Is there enough time to wait three weeks and send it in?
