Anybody who have late registered birth that was asked by the CO of the reason? Anybody cud teach me what's the shortest and easiset way to answer it that wud satisfy the Co and not asked u too many questions regarding abt it? My mom cnt give me a reason since she cnt remember why. Hope u guys cud help me accdg to ur interview experience

Was registered late about 20 yrs. late but never asked by CO about it. As long as you give then the authenticated NSO birth..you're fine.

Main thing is to have other evidence proving you are the person on it.

Baptismal certificate, school records and work records, school annuals, SSS, postal Id, voter ID. affidavits from people that attended your birth. Especially the hilot.

Happywifeymom was lucky. Some people do get put on AR and have to get the evidence I just mentioned to get off AR and get their visa.

My wife was also 7 years late registered and took the above evidence to her interview. They did ask for it and she was approved without problems.

Tell them the truth the best you can. My wife was registered late, because her mom waited until after she was close to twenty. The reason her mom gave was she waited until after she married the father, and then just forgot to do it. She registered all four children at the same time, because the youngest had to be registered for some reason. The CO really didn't believe that, but my wife still got her pink slip.

Oh yes, My Rhea had a late registration. She had an affidavit attached to her BC as to why it was late, the affidavit says it was negligence of the mother. When asked about why it was late registered, Rhea tried explaining the whole story instead of saying what the affidavit said, this caused the CO to request more documents such as baptismal certificate and photos of the baptismal book and all relevant pages and any old ID's that predate the BC.

The CO began by complaining of some smudges on the NBI and accusing Rhea of faking her Identity, but a week later when I spoke with Loraine she told me that the reason for the white slip was that the explanation of why the BC was late didn't match the explanation on the affidavit.

So, my suggestion would be to make your answer short, do not tell an extremely long story about whose fault it was and who said what to whom, just say what is on the affidavit and nothing more.

All late registered births in the philippines are required to be accompanied with an affidavit. The affadavit most commonly used is a standardized got form that is shown on the back of the (local) birth certificate when issued. The reason give is usually only a few words to a sentence long - short and simple. Just bring a copy of this local BC with Affadait and state what it states. (note, this is the local issued BC, not the NSO authenticted one. of course, you will also need the NSO Authenticated Certificate of Live Birth, but this local BC (which often has the affadavit on back/atttached) can help with any questions if you were late registered. )

My point was not that this local BC Affadavit was all the evidence needed. Only that it is a source of info to answer the specific question about the REASON why they brith was late registered.
