What???

Requesting proof that you were together for your honeymoon? Please explain that as I'm sure all of us are now freaking out! We sent wedding pics and stuff from our honeymoon and our wedding cert. and such... why would they require more evidence than that? You have a wedding certificate! Certified by the courts and such, right?

Wow, PH... that's certainly odd... please keep us informed as to how you're doing and how it's progressing and also, explain it to us too so that those of us waiting can either prepare for the same sort of RFE and whatnot...

Best of luck and it sounds like you're more than prepared and again, thanks for sharing your experience, it's invaluable -- knowledge is power, after all.

Best,

LGG

Paris got married by proxy so she must show absolute proof that the marriage was consumated... hence, the honeymoon picture.

Right Paris??

Im glad its on it's way Beth! I so want to read your "We're Approved!!" thread soon :)

"you fondle my trigger then you blame my gun"

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

Right Paris??

What they want is proof we were together for honeymoon. Thats why we posed with newspapers in front of us, papers dated 3 days after wedding, hence two days after I got to Paris for honeymoon, but yet dated BEFORE I left Paris when honeymoon was over.

Understand???

Also did back to back purchases, with our ATM cards: Example

Starbucks, he bought coffee with his card, I did same with my card, that was 30 seconds apart. Receipt shows date, time, and our partial ATM card numbers . Shows same place, date, and time. Proof we were at same place same time.

Plus I did send them DVD its all dated with time and dates of our honeymoon. If they watch it or not. Its in Gods hands now, RFE evidence went out with UPS a bit ago.

hi beth,

i haven't checked here for a while but i have an idea what they may want, did you send them a copy of your passport with exit and entrance stamp from when you left US and came back for your honeymoon? I think that should be the ultimate proof because it can be confirmed from immigration if need be. I do not think that they operate thru reasoning the way we do and often their requirements is not so clear. I believe that either US customs or France customs would have stamped your passport during your trip. If you did not send that with your old or new evidence submission I highly reccomend that you do so now before hearing from them. Goodluck.

AI sent my passport showing the France IN stamp to France and used my exit boarding pass to show when I left, France did not stamp me out. I enclosed my husbands French residency card to show he lives there and did not need to travel to France for Honeymoon, also enclosed the newpapers we bought while I was there, and took pics of us holding the papers, to show I was there on days on haoneymoon with him, and we did back to back ATM transactions to show we were at same place, same time. Gave them copies of our ATM cards so they can see his receipts and mine with our cards, luckily our partial ATM card numbers were on all the receipts to show his card and my card. I dont think they looked at my evidence the first time, so I made it super easy for then to understand now. Ai pray all will be okay now. Just waiting to hear from them now.

Okay USCIS received my evidence 05/20/09 any ideas of how long till I hear something? 1 week, 2 weeks, 30 days???

One person heard in 1 week, another heard in 15 days.
