You don't need to be a rocket scientist to know that's a faux pas. She should fire her White House fashion consultant for not stopping her. I can't wait for her to start dispensing advice on how moderate income families can live on a budget from her perspective as a six-figure earning executive with lots of household help.

I'm fascinated by this inanity. What is the appropriate wadrobe to dispense food to the 'poor'? The shoes in question might be questionable from a taste stand point, but it's rather stupid to suggest these are at the top end in terms of shoes. I might not pay $540 for a pair of shoes ever, but it's not like that's at these are even close to the high end of shoe prices.

I couldn't give a monkey's who paid for the shoes, the appropriateness of the occasion, or where Fox ran the piece. It's irrelevant.

What is relevant is that they're just plain ugly. Doesn't matter who's wearing them, they were had if they paid $540 for them.
