So she has a taste for expensive clothes.

So what?

SHADES OF SARAH PALIN!

Maybe she also wore them to eat that $100 a pound Wagyu beef they've served at their White House soirees. That is OUR tax dollars at work.

Might I suggest then that you start a petition to find when the shoes were bought, where, by who, and where the money for them came from.

I fear that we won't get to the bottom of it until Michelle produce the receipts and flagellates herself for every fashion faux pas.

Meanwhile she should suspend all public engagements, as its not as though the soup kitchens actually need the help. Or the publicity.

I couldn't give a monkey's who paid for the shoes, the appropriateness of the occasion, or where Fox ran the piece. It's irrelevant.

What is relevant is that they're just plain ugly. Doesn't matter who's wearing them, they were had if they paid $540 for them.

They're ugly as hell, but taste is subjective.

Obviously a few people must like them if the company can charge that much for them.

Well if she's caught wearing Persian shoes we'll know that the terrorisers have won, and that bin laden will be the guest of honor at the white house.

Are Persian shoes the ones with the hidden compartments in the soles, or are they Clarks' Commando's?

Don't interrupt me when I'm talking to myself

It's class envy

much like that over sarah palin's wardrobe

I thought it was Republicans who cried the most about that because it wasn't her money but donors. That was a bit welfare state of her really......buying luxury goods off someone else's hard work

so why do you hate housewives?

THIS JUST IN:

Barry, in a effort to put this "red faced" moment behind them, he just announced he will go through the Wifes wardrobe budget "line by line, with a scalpel".......... Just like he did with the federal Budget.

Upon hearing that, MRS. Obama winked back at him.

Bill Gates is one of the richest men in the world, has a huge and luxurious house, a wardrobe that probably costs more than what the average American will make in a lifetime, yet is still well-known for his humanitarian work and generosity in that vein.

Meanwhile, I'm positive there are people who wear $20 Wal-Mart sneakers and haven't done $hit for the poor their entire lives.

It should be kept in mind that I am not a fan of the Obama administration in general.

Bottom line: who cares? Life isn't fair. Some people have a lot, some people have nothing at all, and some might have done something to deserve what they have and others might have done nothing to deserve it. It happens. But insinuating that someone is greedy while they're out providing a service that someone is going to leave that day grateful for doesn't make you any more generous or helpful than they. In fact, it just makes you look like a petty, hateful jerk.

We make "alms" (or donations to less fortunate people) regularly.

I also bought myself a Giorgio Armani belt for my birthday last month.

Does that make me insensitive to the needy? I don't think so......

Bill Gates is a private citizen, not someone who makes policy for the country or who sets himself up as an example for others. He was also shamed into becoming a humanitarian, in case you missed the controversy a few years back over what a charity piker he was. He was a billionaire for decades before he started his foundation. The man had to practically be dragged kicking and screaming into philantrophy, now to be considered to be "known" for it. Meh.

You didn't serve soup in it. Besides, who writes articles about your belt? No one. The Obamas live one way and preach to others about being frugal and charitable. They are more charitable with our tax dollars than they have been in the past with their own dollars, and that's a demonstrable fact.

If I follow political examples, I would have been a zombie.

:P

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.
