Hello everyone, this is my first time posting on the site. I'm usually just a reader but I had a question for anyone that has recently gone through the process of the K1 Visa in Peru. I called up the embassy yesterday to verify if the package was sent out to my fiance with all the documents and was told that it was sent out and also that an interview had already been set up. I was really surprised since I thought the package only included paperwork and she would have to return a form stateing that she had everything ready before they would set up the interview. The lady from the embassy informed me that the package also included the actual interview letter, I was wondering if anyone out there has gone through the process and inform me if this is true or not, that package 3 comes with all the documents that she needs to fill out plus the interview letter. Thank you very much for your help.

Thanks for the quick response, I'm very lucky that I called to check on the status of the paperwork or else my Fiance would have been very surprised to receive the interview letter just a couple of weeks before the interview without having time to obtain all the proper paperwork.

Thanks, I already left all the paperwork with her that she will need for the interview and the evidence of our relationship. My question was basically, is it normal for the Peru embassy to send the interview letter with the package? She still hasn't received the package which I'm hoping will be next week so she can take it to the medical exam, but I'm just a little concerned about the actual interview letter. Thanks again for the help everyone.

Yes, the letter will be there in the packet, this will be the only packet you receive. The letter will have the date of the interview as well as everything she will need to bring with her. Our interview date was about 30 days out from the time Isa received the package but I think you can reschedule the interview time if it is necessary, but I would just try and get everything together for the interview. At first it may seem overwhelming but it really is not that bad. Good luck and let us know if you have any more questions.

Thank you very much for your response. At least now I feel more at ease that whenever she gets the package the letter will also be included and she wont have to wait another while before receiving it. Now i just have to get her to make an appointment with the doctor and hopefully she will have the letter by then to take to the appointment. Thanks for all your help.

I am just now going through the process and luckily I e-mailed them and they responded with the interview date so we had some time to prepare.

I have a question though-

When and where did you pay your fee. I understand we have to pay in advance? I know it has gone up to $350.00.

Any information on this would be appreciated.
