K1 and the waiting period

How long is the waiting period for a K1 visa approval and is it true it could take 2 years? Please tell me

Have a look at some peoples timelines. We started out September of last year and got our Visa in April, so for us about 7 months. There are alot of factors though that can change it. Some people are approved quicker, although I think rare to be less then, some are longer. RFE's can delay the process so make sure you double check everything before sending it in. The country that the beneficiary is from I know plays a part. And of course the number of applications that they do have factors in. Ift depends on which country you are from, if you have any red flags, and if you are ready for each step of the process, as well as which visa you apply for.

The fiance visa (K1), if everything is done right, usually takes more like 10 months to a year- even less in many cases. You posted this in the K3 (spousal visa) forum though. They can take a couple of months more, but it really depends on the above factors.
