not even if cutting power can save his life. amazing, that the air conditioners are more important than a person.

How will it save his life? Practically? The country is half rubble anyway...

Air conditioners? Try hospitals, sewage and waste processing plants. What do you think they run on - hot air? Strong language?

Did they do this for any practical reason - other than to intimidate the residents of Gaza? Seeing as how the Israeli military can operate with impunity in the region anyway. You have to wonder...

Honestly, I have no idea why they had to bomb the power plant. There seems to be no

logical reason other than collective punishment. I'll give you one practical reason though-

Israel supplies about 40% of Gaza's electricity. They could supply more, and with the power

plant destroyed, Israel's electric company stands to make a healthy profit.

bombing a power plant is better than bombing civilians. its humanitarian.

I finally got rid of the never ending money drain. I called the plumber, and got the problem fixed. I wish her the best.

Lets not forget that Israel is a developed, industrialised nation with a strong economy and military. Palestine is not - its the equivalent of the Favela towns in Brazil outside Sao Paulo or Rio De Janeiro.

Basic infrastructure, subsistence economy - badly and inefficiently governed.

I'm sure that isn't lost on some people..

Bombing is unhumanitarian.

No, but you can certainly judge them on how they use that power against the people of the surrounding region.

Its a standard principle of International Law that soverign nations have a right to protect themselves against aggression. In this case they are being attacked by terriorists and not by a uniformed army that complies with Geneva Convention requirements. I would think that a central government should be able to control their own ppl shouldnt they??? Apparently, not the case in Palestine, especially when the central govt supports the actions of terrorists; or maybe they are a part of it.

How does blowing up a civilian power station protect against aggression?

I already explained that.....you go after high value targets and not against civilians. You blow up some transformers in lieu of killing ppl. Gives you a better international press...political considerations!!!

I don't think this gives them better press... It looks like what it is - collective punishment for purely vindictive, and as Mawilson pointed out, possibly mercenary reasons.

They had one... Its just been blown up

I disagree. Its aimed at making the central govt of Palestine (if such a thing exists) think about if its worth the effort to support terrorism acts knowing that its going to put their country in darkness. Next it will be the water supply, and any other high value target worth the effort of wasting a bomb on.

Kind of hard to deal with a country when there appears that no one is in control.....Somalia??
