Doesn't the fact he ordered his meat well done actually prove he's not an elitist? Elitist French-loving people would never put their dijon mustard on meat that's not practically raw.

No he'd need to slap some store brand HFCS ketchup on his 60% lean burger to lose the "elitist" label ;)

One has to wonder where these guys shop that Dijon mustard, arugula, or even chevre is some crazy imported novelty. I mean, all three of those are available in my local Shaw's, which serves primarily a poor urban community.

Confession: I like my fries with mayo.

Where do I surrender my US passport?

commie

Dutch-boy. Fries with mayo.sheesh.

All Canadians on this board know that fries are eaten either in a poutine, or with salt & vinegar. Whenever I'm in Canada I stuff a bunch of vinegar condiment packs (the little plastic pouches) from McDs and Harveys and bring them back to the states for use here. This heathen country knows not of vinegar on fries

Perhaps its not that Obama's an elitist - its that Hannity is a philistine.

Hannity's a phony - you don't grow up in an upper middle class neighborhood in Nassau county without being exposed to elitist food......I bet he doesn't even drink domestic beer

I bet he drinks it from a glass and extends his little finger on the uplift

Vinegar on chips - FTW!

No, vinegar on chips is what you limeys call it. Canadians call it vinger on fries. In Canada, like in the US, chips are what you Brits call 'crisps'.

On the topic of UK condiments, ####### is brown sauce?? I guess it's sort of like worcestershire sauce, but not quite the same. In the pubs I've been to in the UK, where they hand out the ketchup and mustard condiments is where I've seen 'brown sauce' (actually labeled that way on the packages).

And another quibble, IPA in England is nowhere near as good as microbrew IPAs in the US. The notion of IPA (India Pale Ale) emerged as a British invention to allow the ales to last longer on the long trip around Cape of Good Hope to India for the troops stationed there. But I find modern English IPAs to be timid and not distinguishable from other English draught bitters. American IPAs in contrast are usually heavily hopped and much bolder.

Brown (HP) sauce is like a thicker version of A1. Similar sort of taste.

English beers are shitty - Germany has the best beer in the world as far as I'm concerned.

What's wrong with a bit of horseradish is what I want to know. Mustard be damned!

Bleh...can't stand it...or wasabi...makes me want to vomit.

awhile back we were at a wedding and they had food set up buffet style.. anyways, my FIL went to grab himself a plate of food and he grabbed what he thought was some kind of chili verde sauce or something so he took a big mouthful of it and his face went completely red because it actually was wasabi ..lol
