Moving by myself may 12th - advice?

Hello!

I'm moving by myself next tuesday to the US. My family won't help and my husband is gone in pre-deployment training and won't be able to welcome me in our home in Wyoming. I'll move with a few suitcases and a cat.

Do you guys have any last minute advice for a smooth move and POE (Chicago O'Hare)?

I'm really stressed out as i'm dealing with all this pretty much alone. I just want to make sure i don't forget anything!

2007-09-17 --> Met in France

2007-10-11 --> <3

2008-09-10 --> Got married!

USCIS Journey

2009-01-31 --> I-130 application sent via fedex to Chicago lockbox

2009-02-02 --> I-130 received by USCIS

2009-02-05 --> Notice of Action (NOA1)

2009-02-07 --> Notice of Action (NOA1) hardcopy received in the mail

2009-02-09 --> Request for Expedite

2009-02-09/10/16/18/20 --> Touched

2009-02-26 --> Phone call from WY congresswoman's office: I-130 petition approved (NOA2)!!

2009-02-27 --> Touched (case mailed to NVC?)

2009-03-02 --> NOA2 hardcopy in the mail

NVC Journey

2009-03-13 --> Case # assigned

2009-03-15 --> Request for expedite

2009-03-19 --> DS-3032 generated

2009-03-19 --> DS-3032 sent (e-mail)

2009-03-19 --> AOS and IV fees PAID (money order) (as per NVC supervisor's instructions)

I would be more concern on your mobility once you get to the US. Hope their is a good transportation in your area. If you have a foreign license, do verify if you could use it in Wyoming.

Make sure you have arrangements to have a car or some kind of transportation to pick you up at the airport and bring you home. Also I know it sounds silly but make sure you have a copy of the keys to your new home as well as keys to your husbands car and any security codes if he has an alarm on. You say you are bringing your cat you may want to make sure he has a litter pan and some cat litter there for kitty :)

Do yourself a favor and unpack within the first couple of days. My fiancée has been here just over a week, I made him unpack right away and he felt so much more at home. He is so at home he is taking a nice little nap on the couch right now and my kitty is sleeping right next to him.
