Ok so the topic title is REALLY optimistic. I hope everyone is having a great day so far.

I've registered with 5 local employment agencies this week, and will go to another tomorrow. The largest hospital in town is working with me almost daily (they have openings that often). I swear I'm not this big of a loser! I've had it explained to me numerous times that competition is just that fierce here. I have access to endless free online training courses through one of the agencies and I'm beginning that today. Gonna make myself razor sharp. Don't have anything better to do anyway. If the next few weeks don't turn something up, I have to hit the fast food restaurants, grocery stores, anything for a paycheck. (Can you tell what kept me awake last night?) Ha ha.

To keep myself from meltdown last night I obsessively spent 5 hours creating a myspace page. Web and graphic design is something I want to study because I absolute EAT IT UP. 2 years ago I had created, written and marketed my own web site, over 100 pages, that managed to rank in the top 10% on the major search engines. Unfortunately travelling to Egypt, etc rendered it impossible for me renew and keep up. When I sit and work on something like this the hours fly by. My myspace page isn't so great. I'm more then rusty on HTML which is something I'm self taught in anyway. It's too cluttered. But it gives me something to putter around on.

Come on paycheck. I have a life to lead. I have dreams to chase!

Mohammed is feeling better after fighting the last 3 days with a fever and cough. Alhamdulellah.

Enjoy the day, everyone.

George isnt off til Sat so i really dont have much planned until then. ahhh well.

no news in the immigration department, ive kind of just put all that on hold in my brain because it causes too much stress to ponder it every day and to ask questions only to get negative results, so ill just let it lay til sometime next mth i suppose.

Good luck with the job search. Keeping busy is tough these days for me also. I leave for Morocco on the 7th of July and the days each feel like a week to pass. I've rearranged the furniture, cleaned closets and cabinets..anything to keep busy. I guess I better get use to waiting. When I get back from Morocco I will file the I-129 petition and then the waiting really begins.

Thanks for the optimistic Wednesday greeting. It helps here too. Also glad Mohammed is feeling better.

You know the old saying... "God moves in mysterious ways?" I get hit over the head with that a lot. I drown myself so deeply in my own stupid dramas (and you guys have been having to put up with this nonsense since I joined this forum... I AM SO SORRY) that sometimes I forget to open my eyes and see the path laid out before me.

I have really been in a "dark night of the soul" since losing my job. It was really the last straw for me. All I have had to keep me going is my love for Mohammed and my deep faith. I have been suicidally depressed. I have spent many tearful hours praying/meditating/soul searching... whatever you want to label it... and just no answers for me. Last night before I went to sleep I did not ask Allah for answers in my dreams... I flat out stated with all I am I WANT ANSWERS WHEN I WAKE UP IN THE MORNING!

Well, I woke up angry about my dream. A man told me "Be ready to go at 8 am for work, but I don't know when exactly we will begin today but just be ready." Ironically, I got out of bed at exactly 8 am. I huffed at the clock angry that the dream gave me no answers. I turned on my computer, sat down with my coffee glumly searching employment online... and like a light going on in my head all the answers fell into place.

I now know what I want for my future or at least the path I want to follow. The goals are in line. The plan is set. It was as easy as breathing. I have absolutely no nerves about it whatsoever. I'm so PSYCHED UP I'm trembling. Nothing has ever felt so right. It will give me the means to earn a living doing all of the things I LOVE, it will allow me to live anywhere I choose, to work for myself, to involve Mohammed, and to eliminate the things in life that have kept me miserable all these years or may impose barriers for us due to bigotry. Of course this won't happen over night but now I am eager as all get out to get started.

Plan A: secure a paycheck. Any paycheck... save up a bit and then start the classes.

Alhamdulellah and Ameen.

(I'm wondering how many think I'm absolutely nuts right about now...)
