You are almost there and now you have to deal with the embassy. This is the place to post your experiences or questions related to this last step before moving to the US. Topics relating to I-134's, packets sent from consulate and medical & police certificates should be posted here.

The NVC sent my fiance a letter in the states on march 24th saying they were forwarding our case to the embassy in tokyo. That was a long time ago now and I have not received anything here in japan :crying:

To make matters worse I can`t seam to contact anyone at the embassy about visa related stuff.

If you know the date that your petition left NVC you can track the package via DSL. It should show the tracking and signature when it arrived.

To track DHL shipment of your petition from NVC to the embassy refer to this posting

Just hang in there. We are all on the same boat.

Sometimes it takes longer to get a packet than others for some unknown reasons.

If you are really worried, you can contact the IV section of the US embassy Tokyo with a fee.

Take a look at the following URL for more informartion.

http://japan.usembassy.gov/e/visa/tvisa-nivcontact.html

You can also start preparing for some papers needed for your interview without the packet.

Documents needed for a K-1 interview is listed here at http://japan.usembassy.gov/e/visa/tvisa-niv-k.html

Good luck.
