Hello all,

My wife is in the Philippines, never been to the US. And I am filing the I-130 petition to bring her here.

On the I-130 form, question number 22 asks two questions:

Complete the information below if your relative is in the United States and will apply for adjustment of status.

Your relative is in the United States and will apply for adjustment of status to that of a lawful permanent resident at the USCIS office in:

If your relative is not eligible for adjustment of status, he or she will apply for a

visa abroad at the American consular post in:

I answered N/A to both questions in # 22.

Because question 22 starts of by saying "Complete the information below if your relative is in the United States and will apply for adjustment of status." and sincemy wife is not in the US I put N/A to both questions. However, the second question is a bit tricky.

Am I right by putting N/A for both, or am i not understanding the questions?

Thanks all

Steve

You are fine, these questions only apply if she were in the USA like on a visitors visa and were adjusting status, in this case the I-130 would be attached to an I-485 to adjust status.

Also please fill in your profile details, you are NOT N/A. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...rCP&CODE=01
